Jan! I am glad you are doing ok! I'm sorry but I did chuckle a bit about your lil explosion because it sounds like something that would happen to me....hehe.....The tank top is a great idea!

Jan,

It is very sad, but very funny that your brace burst under your shirt.......I can just imagine that happening.....& of course, it never happens at home or away from being around people. Think things just love to embarrass us.

Hope they get it fixed for you.....maybe a little super glue??????

Good thing you have a great sense of humor....in able to get though all the things you are going through right now.

Good luck,
Debbie

Hi Friends,

They riveted the velcro onto the brace. There are 12 rivets all together. I told my friend who made it about the brace exploding at KMart. He didn't know what to say or do. He wanted to laugh but was afraid he'd hurt my feelings. It was so funny. I told him it was like trying to hold your pantyhose up when they're falling down and doing it so no one notices. lololololol!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a more serious note, the brace is sliding down and I'm not getting all the compression I need so he's going to have to make a new brace that extends from under my arms to my tail bone. It's going to be so hot and oh so tight, but I just have to do it.

It's also going to be humiliating to have the new mold. There's no hiding any defects in your figure when you do that and believe me, I have more defects than you can imagine. Yes, you have stocking net on, but everything shows.

All good thoughts and prayers needed. Feel free to laugh about "The Great KMart Brace Explosion".

Jan

Oh no! Oh good. Oh pooh! I know. When things like that happen, ( they have, they will) if I care that anyone notices I say something like, it's tough to be disabled, eh? No, most ppl have no idea what "we" put up with... and that's ok with me, I wouldn't wish this stuff on others.

My back brace isn't as extensive as yours, but yes, not only does it show what I have, but adds to it in just the wrong places!

What a hassle, eh? The things we go through trying to self-care! Prayers Needed for Mom & Me
