For 3 days now Yahoo opens like a dream. I try to sign in - page cannot be displayed. I try to check mail (and sign in) - page cannot be displayed. As a result, I am receiving notification that I am getting mail but I can't get in to read it?

It is frustrating me, and I don't know what to do. Seems to be a yahoo issue I would think.

Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this lately.

Yes that is why I no longer use Yahoo for email purposes. My problem was that I never knew when I would recieve or be able to send emails. my friends were telling me when they were sending me an important emal and I would not get it. On top of that about every other week I had to notify Yahoo because after clicking on compose I would have the subject line and the send to line but no body area to type the email in and without it it would not send even a forwards to my friends.

I can't remember who all I had given my yahoo address too and if I notified everyone of my new email so I have my new email visable in my profile for a bit. As a reminder - this email is one I use for my writing and for my on line and real life support groups. It is not my personal email address. for safety reasons I do not give out my personal email address on line.

I love Yahoo and use it all day every day.
I have not experienced any difficulties.
I suggest you Delete your cookies by doing a Disk Clean Up in your Tools from your STart Up menu.
Let me know if that helps?

Thanks so much Twisted Soul - I do clean ups and deleting and anything else I can think of on a daily basis. My computer is cleaner than .............. well it is clean!

I chose Yahoo over Hotmail because I could almost never access my hotmail account.

I am so surprised at this problem to begin with.

No problems for me, either. I've had my Yahoo! account for so many years now that I couldn't change if I wanted to...no one would be able to adjust to a new address from me.

I haven't had any problems with mine either, except from a hardware standpoint. I'm hooked up to my BIL's home wireless network, and for some reason, every night between 8 and 9 pm, the network dies and I have to reboot to reconnect. But I haven't had any problems from Yahoo itself.

Any other Yahoo mail users experiencing problems? Just tried again - try to sign in and all I get is Cannot Find Server.

Could this be a problem on "my" computer or something?

My Yahoo accounts work fine. Maybe you could try searching the internet to see if others have had similar problems?

Cannot Find Server usually means you have a connection problem on YOUR end. Check all your wires and cables!

Thanks Candybear - I have checked and rechecked and rechecked. Everthing is plugged in and connected as it should be and as it always was.

I remain Any other Yahoo mail users experiencing problems? Not to mention very concerned that I have mail I can' read.

Perhaps I should uninstall Yahoo and start over? Can I do this and retain my original name?

Have you checked your firewall and made sure that Yahoo isn't being blocked for some reason?

I haven't changed a single thing on my computer for months - no reason it should just suddenly 'not work'. My firewall etc are the same as they have always been.

Sometimes I cannot access PC from IE but can from Mozilla, so I just tried Yahoo from Mozilla - same thing!!!

Any other Yahoo mail users experiencing problems? and very frustrated.

I appreciate all the support though.

PS - I actually have changed something on my computer. I took off Norton and now use AVG - but I had not problems with Yahoo until about 3 days ago ....

I have this "issue" that I clean my history daily! That includes cache.

If I am signed into yahoo IM, which also has its issues, that is when I receive notification that I have mail. Trying to view from that notification or from yahoo has not worked!

I had a nightmare with Yahell and hatemail just the other day. I unplugged the modem and the computer and switched everything off for the night (well from about 0600 am until i decided to get my butt out of bed). I had done a clean up and disk defrag before i decided to give the poor old puter a break. It seemed to work ticketyboo after that. Another thing, if you have any software that updates automatically for security, you might find that a pop up/under/over/sidewayswotever blocker, try holding down the control button as you try to open your yahell. Hope this works, otherwise.............. a good plan here, a can of petrol (gas), box of matches and a wide open space, your computer will go woof like a doggie.......... haha.
