Hi All,
Just in time for Mother's Day, I can see three baby wren's heads reaching up above the rim of the nest for food. Both mom and dad are on food duty. From the Prairie, EJ |

We have a mated pair of robins in a tree outside and I suspect we may have baby robins any day now! OH WHICH REMINDS ME >off to make new thread *pouf!* |

Rainbow,
Keep us posted on your baby robins. There is nothing prettier than a robin's egg. The robins used to make a nest in about a hundred year old laurel tree we had where we grew up. They always made their nest in the same branch. EJ |

SongBird, watch out for those weeds!
When I was a teen, we had a bush right by our porch, and a robin built her nest there and had babies. I would go out quietly and say hello and check on them. We knew never to try to touch them. One day they were gone, so I guess they all learned to fly and went on to live their lives.

We all have to learn how to fly, no matter what age we start at. I find this "growth" to be an exciting experience, although terrifying and confusing. Wouldn't it be nice if it just happened "naturally" like the birds? I used to think that was the way it was - some people had the gift of talk, reason, privelages, that I wasn't allowed to have. Now, I'm thinking differently. T is an angel - he is wonderful. Hugs, Songbird PS: seems there is a lot of weeds in my garden, but I'm slowly plucking them out
