I keep wishing I could get "worse" so I could go to the psych ward. I'm in college and on my 4th week already, but 24/7 I feel like theres homework and studying and classes to go to, and it never stops. I was out of school for 2 years because I just couldn't handle it, and now I am back in and wondering when will my breaking point be. I just wish I could turn everything off for a day. But even if I decide I wont do homework for 1 day, I still think about everything that needs to be done, and I cant stop thinking about it. I had a test last week that I thought i would get 100% on since it was fairly easy, but i only got a B... how will I do on my even harder exams? I have a speech tomorrow for public speaking class, and I'm really nervous and tense about it. Will this be how I feel the rest of the semester, just because of this public speaking class, since I have like 7 or 8 more speeches to do throughout the semester? And don't get me started on art history, I don't know how art history can be so confusing, but the teacher does a good job at making it seem that way. I just feel so much pressure and cant get any relief.

Please take a second and breathe! I am no longer going to school, but when I did I used to feel overwhelmed like you. Are you going to school full time? Is it possible to cut back on the amount of units that you take this term? If it's possible for you to go half time that would cut down on your stress and anxiety immensely. Perhaps you can speak with your professor regarding the exam you just took, and you can ask them for help on how to study. They love it when students show an interest, trust me. Just focus on one thing at a time ok?

Is there a school counselor that you can talk to? When you took a break two years ago, why? What exactly was causing you anxiety? How much initiative was takn to make changes so that this year would be less of a strain? That might be a great place to begin
