My good friend got bitten by a snake today while she was walking her dog. Her leg got swollen... but the pain went away after a while. She didn't went to hospital! I told her to go! I mean even if it doesn't show right away, it might give unwanted effects to the body a while later.
When were talking she suddenly disappeared... she returned after a few minutes... telling me that she was in huge pain and felt dizzy... So she was on the phone calling a doc.

I'm so worried about her!!!! I really hope that she'll be ok!!!!!! She's a wonderful person! She's such a good listener and I trust her completely! If something should happen to her... can't write more....

Yeah, I know! I got pretty upset with her, not having went to hospital! I told her that she ought to do that!

She didn't got a chance to see the snake... I guess it was too fast.

I think so... I told her to contact me... or if she can't... her hubby to call me. She lives far away from me... so it feels so hard not be able to be there for her.

We only got one poisoness snake in Sweden... I hope it wasn't that species!!!

She's out of danger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It can't have been an adder... the ER told her that the leg should have taken purple colour around the bite... not only red and swollen, if it was poison in the snake.

I'm soooooooooooo happy, that it all turned out to be ok!

Glad she is not in danger and it was not that serious.
She may hurt for a bit but at least she will heal.

sounds like a case of just a frightened snake!

I bet you she got worried about it and then had a bit of an anxiety attack and that may have caused the dizziness.

As a snake enthusiast, I am always alarmed to read of things like this. And yes, if the viper had bitten her, the venom would have caused some very severe reactions, very instantly.

I am glad things turned out well. ((Nina))
