Thank you ladies, you're all on my things I like list too you know... Did you notice that Alyssa shows up a lot there? She has me SO wrapped around her little finger. Everytime she sees me she takes my hand to go play with her toys, and talks to me like I'm supposed to understand every word she says.

And to think, I used to wonder why people got such a kick out of talking about their grandchildren...go figure.

Isn't being a granparent the neatest thing in the whole world?? It feels like you love your grandkids better... or different... or something... than you did your own kids. Hubby and I often comment on the difference in the feelings but we can't ever pinpoint it. Like the saying goes "If I'd known my grandkids were going to be so much fun, I would have had them first." LOL That doesn't even begin to explain it, but even with the heartaches my daughter has caused me, I wouldn't give any of my kids back.

Sometimes they don't mean to, but do because they are human and make mistakes. Sometimes they hurt us because they are callus or don't have the capability to love in return. Many don't know what love really is. Sometimes we give our heart to the wrong person. Sometimes we don't know what love is. I think I know, but maybe not. I can't say I've ever had anyone love me like I would expect it's supposed to be. All I know is that for you I have very warm feelings; I like who you've shown me, I like your accomplishments, your intelligence, the way you feel about your son, your sense of humor and how you respond. I get excited when I see any kind of a post from you because I know you're still with us. Love in general hurts.........even unknowingly I have hurt others here, something I hate. Feeling that way about people leaves you wide open, very vulnerable. Then people harm you, but that couldn't happen unless you felt love first.

Sometimes you can't help loving someone, like we all do with our children. But there are times when we even by accident hurt them.

Lots of times I've believed in love, only to be disillusioned. Never again in a relationship. I care so much about the people here, my T, and even some of my employees.

It makes me feel somewhat less worthless to know that people do care about me. I fail to understand it, and I analyze it constantly.........but I'm glad. It makes me feel less alone at times when I really need it.

You are one of the people that I truly care about here. There are others of course, at this site. You've helped me laugh and shown me more warmth than most people in 3D my whole life.

I would never knowingly hurt you, so I am sorry that I have. You are definitely one of the best. xoxoxoxoxo

I'm with you, Hun. I understand completely what you are saying. I know that loving someone leaves you vulnerable, and yes, sometimes you can't help loving someone; like I love you. I knew going in that it wasn't going to be a smooth road, but alas, here I am. And this is where I plan to stay. Throw away your score card, too, of the times when you think you might have hurt me. Why should we keep one, eh? My mom told me something one time "Children are born forgiven." I raised a step-son and he's been really ungrateful. Oh, well. I know I gave him more of my time, love, etc. than I did my own and I'm proud of it! I'm just made that way; a nurturer. So if you'll let me...

I would like to add some of the things that I like

*Pajama days with my daughter--these are very stress free
*Eating chocolate cake and not feeling guilty
*Hearing my daughter say "I love you, mommy"
*Hearing my husband telling me he loves me
*the little things that my family does every day to show how much they love me.
*long.........very long vacations.
*And, of course this forum. You are all so very kind!
I remind myself every day that it is the little things that matter.
I do feel truelly blessed.

I'm so glad you are brave enough to step into this gushy pool. I was thinking of making a list myself but I thought I'd already caused enough damage to BP's thread.

Know what you mean about pajama days. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to have them with my four yr old granddaughter. And of course, my day doesn't start until I have my cup of coffee, sitting here answering posts and getting in to trouble.
