he has always had very high cholesterol. it's genetic. he has had 2 stents surgically implanted. he found out today that he's in stage 3 of kidney failure. stage 4 is dialysis and stage 5 is a transplant.
i am numb. we knew that his kidneys might get worse, but we didn't anticipate it happening so soon. i am just numb. i can't think. i can't talk....all i could do was cry.....which i feel i should not have done. help. he has a plane ticket to come to Austin on Monday. the doctor says no way, no how. p.s. this is very important to me ........ please, please, don't start giving me diagnoses and how someone in your family knows all about kidney failure. i don't need it or want it and it won't be received well. i just want support from posters who give support. |

So sorry to hear this, my mom has had some close calls with kidney function (creatnine levels,etc.) due to her diabetes and history of high blood pressure, which both she is on meds. for.
Though she has had stents, and now pacemaker too, the body over years of both diseases undiagnosed or under medicated has put the wear and tear, the meds now, just sort of slow things down or keep them under control. I'm sending out positive energies to both of you, for strength and healing. Take care now, Roe ((((((((((( fayerody and Bill ))))))))))))))))

((((((fayerody)))))) that is overwhelming . . . you've been on such an emotional rollercoaster and your stressors are piling high . . . worrying will not do you or Bill any good . . . all i can think of saying is "take care of you and take things one day at a time"
