i'm going to start tests for a possible match. his family members are mostly in the same boat.....p

i'm packing right now. arranging for pet care and such. i'm scared. he's lost 27 lbs. and he was slim.............he told me to be prepared for how he looks. i'll be offline probably the entire time i'm gone. the flight is tomorrow evening. and i don't know how long i'll stay

i'm here......he is very ill. we're pretty sure i'm not a match. as the preliminary bloodwork started in Texas and now there's more tests......fingers and toes crossed.......he's asleep. i'm exhausted. we're all exhausted.

thanks, friends. you know when your eyes feel like someone sandpapered them? i haven't had that feeling in years and i swear someone sneaked in and did ours......

we'll know at p.m. about the match. but no one is acting as if it's going to happen. if not, dialysis.......and i cannot even discuss that with him...try as i may.......and then wait. i'll be back in texas soon and then i'll really start the WORRYING more......

question: if you were to find a match, would it have to be from around where you are?

Dialysis is better than nothing

It will make him feel a lot better, & he will be able to wait longer, while you search for a possible donor, or he is on the waiting list for an unknown donor.

Don't let him give up dialysis is no fun,
but it is a real chance to live until transplant.
