Is that we do not immediatly make judgements based on appearance, which all humans do to some extent (some worse than others)

i like that we get to know each other first, then sometimes we see a pic, and it shocks us because the person on the other end looks nothing like we would have expected them to.

I think its a good kind of shock to the mind and makes you think about why we pass these judgements or, to be less harsh, why we make these assumptions sometimes about those around us.

I first noticed this happening with voices on the radio. Look at a picture of a DJ sometime...they rarely look anything like you expect them to.

That is so true, I have experienced that, it is really something, when I saw the DJ's from a station i listen to, they were nothing like my mind had percieved them to be.
I'm not talking about good looks, but just so different than the way their voices sounded. One thing though, they did look the age their voices portrayed. The benifit of being behind a screen
