Trish,

I'm looking forward to seeing it when I get home from work today. I'm working (very slowly) on my website for my home business. Maybe I can pick your brain a little for some ideas along the way?

Can't wait to see what it looks like!

LD I've been looking around a bit at adding a guestbook to a website...

generally adding a guestbook requires some html form building and some scripting (programming) to make it work. But many webhosts offer a guestbook as a part of their hosting package, i.e. they provide the scripting for you and install it on your account.

Looking through tripod I found this option under the "tools">"site addons">"guest gear" menu http://www.idexter.com

BTW I neglected to comment on your site when i first checked it.

I really think you've done a great job. I like the layout and especially the artwork that you've chosen. Most important I like the content. I know you are planning to add more but this is a great start. A website needs some content (something that it seems a lot of people forget My new website.. )

Trish,

I finally got to go see your site, it's great! I love all the vibrant colors. Against the dark background it really makes them stand out. Your kids are beautiful! I've been playing around with my own personal site for awhile now, maybe i'll sit down and see if I can finish it up this weekend. I get the free space for being a Comcast customer.

You mentioned that Quake 3 was your favorite game. I was wondering if you've tried the latest Hexen? If so, what did you think of it? I loved Hexen II, and am trying to get a recommendation on the new one from somebody.

Great job on the site! I'm looking forward to seeing what else you do with it.

Hugs,
bp

I am going to ask doc who he got this fourm stuff from and see if maybe we can make a fourm of "our" websites that members have made and are making ???

Hexen is a first-person action/fighting game in the same genre as Quake. I don't believe it was a spin-off of Quake, they're made by two different companies. You have four characters you can play as. It takes place in medieval times. I can't remember all the characters, but there is a warrior, a warlock, a prince (I think). They start with a different series of weapons and as you travel from level to level you can collect different objects that increases their power and/or gives then new, stronger weapons. Like Quake, there are secret rooms, power and health objects you can pickup, etc. The first time I played it, it took me about 4 weeks to beat the game, and that was playing pretty regularly. The demon at the end of the game is almost unbeatable.

I really wish I could get you a copy of the game, I know you would enjoy it. I heard the new one is supposed to be even better.

My main goal when I set up my website was to make it interactive. I don't have a guest book, exactly, but I have a comment system (Enetation) and Tag-board message board. It's really easy to set these up and also easy for people to use them. You're welcome to check them out on my site <A target="_blank" HREF=http://ddiamond.net>http://ddiamond.net</A> (and look at my new lamb pictures while you're there). There are links to the sources for both of them - just click on the links and you will go to those sites. Let me know if you need help. One of the best ways to get ideas for your website, actually, is to look at other websites and see what features they have that appeal to you. A lot of those features may be available and easy to add. Just look for a link, or even ask the person the site belongs to. If you hover your mouse over something and the pointer turns into a hand, that's probably a link.

Good luck! You are off to a nice start, and I like your artwork too. My new website..
