Doesn't the IRS have a department that you can go through to collect the money owed to you by your ex? I'd find out about that. My ex tried to get out of paying when my daughter was younger, and I threatened with that...I actually had all the paperwork signed, sealed and just about ready to deliver-he saw the light and came around!!!

It's a thought, and one you might want to take seriously. He hasn't the right to skip away scott-free wi, he's responsible for his children. They can help you enforce a child support order-he has absolutely no say in it. I don't know what state you are in, but this is a federal issue, and the government doesn't sneeze at that stuff.

You have a right as well! Google it-Department of Revenue Child support. It comes up many different states-some have other help places too! It's worth a try.

Hope you can find some resolve!!! hugs, Lisa

When we got divorced, I didn't get child support. He refused to agree to it, said I didn't deserve it and that I'd spend it on partying anyway. Such a screw up

We revised custody this past winter and my lawyer didn't want to push child support then because he thought it would look like that was the only reason I wanted my daughter here the majority of the time. Now the lawyer wants me to come back and go for child support at $200 an hour fees. It's never been court ordered. He's not skipping out on anything. Such a screw up

How can he not agree to it? If the children are his, it's the children's right to it. You can go to a probate court yourself and file the paperwork for child support-you don't need an attorney for that, people get attornies to help them, but it's not needed to file for it. I cannot believe an attorney would give such careless information, this is your children...either go to the court, or call the court to file. Then call the department of revenue, or go to their site and see what you can do. They may even help you establish that. These are his children, he is getting off scott free, and don't let him!!!!! Do you seriously think the attorney or your ex gives a hoot how much you are going trhough at the moment???? Get mad honey, get angry, and get moving! Don't let them get away with it! Who cares who thinks what??? This should have all been taken care of during the divorce proceedings! Phooey on that attorney!!! Ai-ai-ai, that's pure meshugass!!! Oh g'luck (((wi))), if you want send me a PM with what state and county you live in, I will start searching for help for you!!! This is ...oi!
