Not sure but yes I do read. It's all science fiction and some fantasy. Mostly from the same company Black Library.

Its interesting the words you read dont carry over to the words you write and speak. Do you remember movie lines very well? Like your favorite ones? What about song lyrics. Can you remember those well? The reason I ask is because sometimes when I felt speechless I could quote something from someone else that fit the situation. Sometimes it was even quotes from tv commercials but it let me feel like I was contributing to the conversation even though I wished it had been original thought.

I never really thought about it. I also feel that when I use certain words or phrases they do not sound right. At least not coming from me. Fancy words will not make me smarter or sound smarter.

I can see your point about that. There is a sense of timing to conversation I lost the ability to control when I became depressed. Just about everything I said felt weird and out of synch. I wanted to memorize some jokes but I couldnt force my brain to remember so it was tough.

So in order to maybe help me out I thought I would start this post. I invite you all to ask me a question or questions. It could be anything you want I will answer and answer honestly.

I hope I get some questions, if not that is ok too. I do not require anything from you all than your questions. You do not need to even stick around for the answers or read this post again. You can just do a drive by question.
Describe your perfect day. What would you do? Where would you go? ..............Don't be concerned about things getting jumbled up. We are here to help you . When you get a chance, try this exercise. Look at an object, say a lamp across the room. Study it and the surroundings as if it where a picture. Do this for about a minute, then close your eyes and try to reproduce that picture in your mind. When you think you have reproduced all the details , open your eyes and compare. Make it a game and try several times, each time trying to capture more details. It can be tiring, but that's okay, the idea is to strenthen your concentration. It is kind of like lifting weights to get stronger muscles. Hope to hear from you.

My perfect day? Going to sleep and not waking up. No bills, no worrying about having to go to work, no fears, no nothing. Soon very soon.

I just have to say this is the strangest thread I've ever read on PC...that doesn't mean it is bad, btw. I am an artist, and so if you want to discuss art, please do!

This wasn't meant to be strange. I meant it to help me talk about whatever, I am very shy.

Is that a picture painted onto a rock? Looks really good. I am no artist in any form. Maybe a doodle or two.

If a flying saucer were to land close to your home, what would you do? What would you ask them?

Me I would probably panic, I am afraid of pretty much everything. I don't think I would be able to ask anything.

If they offered to take you with them to a place where you were no longer ill and did not have to go to work at the stupid auto parts store, would you go? How could they convince you to go with them?

I probably wouldn't I rarely trust anyone or anything especially if they try to tell me they can cure or help me. Besides I hate the place I am supposed to be what is going to make another place any better?

I am also having to write things down, because in a therapy session I am just not brave enough to say what I really want to say.
Now my T can read my thoughts and lead the session that way.
I really enjoy just writing in "free form"

I hope you are feeling better

I read as a distraction and because I like what I read. Not sure I am ok I just like to read. Also a lot of the times if I read more than a half hour or so I end of with a headache.

I took the question as if I personally was ok not that reading was ok. I wouldn't do it if I did not enjoy it in someway.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
