I believe in demons and angels...
I think there is life out there in the depths of space, just not convinced that there is intelligent life comparable to humans. And if I didn't believe in anything like this I would be miserable and disillusioned!!!

I was too, LOSTINBOOKS, until I saw some creepy ***** with my own eyes. Hope you keep an open mind, addiction to skepticism is dangerous and counterproductive.

I am curious as to why 'witches' made the 'supernatural' list?
![]() I absolutely believe. I believe there is far more intelligent life than us. I believe that to be true even on this planet. If we're so bloody intelligent, why do we destroy everything we touch and fight change to the last possible degree? ![]() I believe in the fae, unicorns, mermaids, spirits. I have a friend who communicates with the dead. They follow her around; she also sees them in visions, in the form of dreams. Her dreams come true. I have seen and experienced things with my own eyes. I think a lot of times I lapse into skepticism because my life isn't going how I think it should be and so I assume there's no magic in the world. I'm not saying I don't have my reasons, and that some of those reasons aren't valid...but it's my belief that the reason my life isn't going the way I want it is BECAUSE I assume there's no magic in the world. When I'm connected...it doesn't matter what's going wrong or right. It's all relative. It all just is...just like everything else. (My two cents...) ![]()

Well I guess Nessie isn't exactly supernatural lol, but you get the Jist. My hispanic inlaws are superstitious as heck, and I've been amazed to hear the things we believe and why we believe them lol. I have been guilty myself, saying "God bless you!" when someone sneezes was automatic for me. When that ritual started, people were dying of the bubonic plague right and left, and a sneeze was a sign of impending death, so "God bless you!" was more of a "See you in heaven some day" kind of thing I suppose.
For instance, I have an "incompetent cervix". I cannot carry children effectively without medical intervention. My firstborn was born 6 weeks prematurely. She is almost 10 today, but at the time it was very worrisome and stressful. My in-laws had other ideas about why this happened: I kept high heels in my closet when I was pregnant. This made sense to them why? Because it explained a traumatic event with an easy fix I guess. Not certain as to the origin of that superstition but it sure got the wheels a turning in my head about all kinds of things. I do believe in spirits, not necessarily ghosts (although I do believe other people who say they have encountered them) and I believe in life on other planets. I believe Nessie and the like is on earth although we do not understand these creatures yet and why they can hide from us. I believe in life after death, and life before life, and reincarnation. I do not believe in eternal damnation, although I do believe there is a Hell but not permanent and only people who have refused to love others go there temporarily because they have not attained a higher vibration while living. I have seen some supernatural things that I will share today since yall have been so generous and brave with your contributions: August 2012- I was sitting on my front porch at 3:00 a.m. I am bipolar so this is not unusual for me while I am experiencing insomnia from the manic side. White fire appeared before my eyes, inches away from my face. It was made out of something that was not material. Immediately, it "shot" for my feet, and actually appeared to enter me through my feet. It felt like static electricity. I clearly saw the brilliant shining of the flames, I vividly remember the event as lucidly as other events memorable to me. Why did this happen? What exactly happened? I have tried to answer this question and have come up inconclusive. For the record, I had been sober for months leading up to this event although I am currently struggling with alcohol. Any thoughts? |

Skepticism can never be counterproductive. The truth will always have proof.

I have seen Nessie! Ok well her name's Vanessa and she's actually my sister. I don't believe in most psychics, but I think that there are a few out there. Also I think that ghosts and spirits probably exist.

The flying spagetti monster is real and I'll spork to death anybody who says different! Mmm tasty tasty monsters.
Does anybody think we should found a religion to worship his royal spagettiness? We could all wear plastic sporks around our necks on paper chains as a religious symbol |

I'm a skeptic so I don't draw unnecessary conclusions. I've seen supernatural powers in action. I've seen and felt the so called shadow people (people, animals). I hang out with someone with quite good ESP.
What this all is? No idea. I just know it is real.

When you have made a deal with one of Satan's Angels, what is "done" is done, so, no. I cannot go back after "shaking hands" with Mariah. Yes, I actually do not mind them staying with me for the rest of my eternity during and after life. They are offering advice, well, at least Mariah is the one doing this, but, it is for the best of me to listen to her when I promised her 75% control over my body. |

It is the way of the afterlife, from what I have learned. You cannot go back on what you have said or done, and no, they said that they will not leave me, as I am their personal slave to them. They have not even bothered to leave my life. No thank you, I am fine and I do not need your help. |

That is weird... And you are sure you didnt double-up on your meds or accidentally eat some acid???
I believe for a far less interesting and visually entertaining reason... During the time I spent living in the country with my grandparents I experienced something supernatural. Our family is spread all over the southern tip of Africa, so holidays generally meant that the city folk in the family would come out to the country. This, in turn, meant driving as far as 700 miles to get there. One particular holiday, my cousins and their parents were about to hit the long road back to the city, but they had decided to drive during the early morning hours as to avoid traffic on. (holiday road fatalities are terrible here) At about 2am we all gathered in the lounge to pray for a safe journey. My cousin, 16, started crying and begging her parents to delay the trip foe just 1 hour. Being the strict disciplinarians that they were, they dismissed the suggestion and told her ''bly net asseblief stil, voor ek jou donner!'' (please, just shut up before I beat the **** out of you!) While we were praying, I kept having these strange images appear in my mind, like African tiki masks that came at me from the distance and dissipated as the reached me, sort of wrapping themselves around me. As I was standing there, 7 years old and terrified, I heard my grandmother say to my sister, 10; ''Marika, maak toe jou oe! Ons bid!'' (Marika, close your eyes! We are praying!) To which she said; ''Ek kan nie, Ouma, ek sien gesigte...'' (I can't, Grandma, I see faces...'' Neither of us said anything more about it because we knew the whip was never far away and the family got in their ''bakkie'' (pick-up truck) and drove off. Within 2 hours the police knocked at our door informing us of the deaths of my uncle, 42, and my cousin, 16. The accident had occurred half an hours drive outside of town... My other cousin, 7, had been thrown 45 feet clear of the wreckage and landed in a thornbush, but escaped serious injury on account of the mattress he had been sleeping on in the back of the pick-up. His mother broke her legs, knees and a femur. The other vehicle had been carrying 9 passengers, all unharmed. It had been driving 110 miles an hour on the wrong side of the road... A long one again, my bad. L&L

Yes. Angels are the most highly civilized beings, humans second to them.
Of course they would have their own set of rules, especially when you volunteered your soul to forever remain in Hell. Besides, as always, when you are sent to Hell, you stay in hell. |
