I apologize for not finding a current running thread for this... the suggestions for an ideal mental health site never fully loaded...
anyway... DocJohn, how about two new forums, one for Guys Only and one for Gals Only? It could be exactly that...guys post only or gals only.. OR anyone could BEGIN a thread (and reply back to it) in the opposite sex forum but only the others could post. Ex. A guy has a question about why gals think or do such and such. Only gals (and the originating guy) could post in the thread. This way, we can ask serious questions and not have the thread bog down by well intentioned same sex members' replies, guys don't have to be reading gal stuff in say, health support etc.,or like gals can read what the guys here are dealing with, without interfering in their conversation  Honor system of course!What do you think?

I also had an idea for a new forum. It seems that many people I know are going through 'Empty Nest Syndrome". Perhaps it's just because that is something I am also dealing with now, that I notice it's prevalance.
It's a real issue with many facets for those dealing with it. It could go to depression forum, relationship forum, and probably a few others but, as Sky says, it would get bogged down with other conversation of legitimate issues. I don't know that I have an opinion of a 'gal / guy' forum. Anne

That is very true, and it really can lead to depression, big time. I think the idea of a forum may be of help to many.
