Anyone able to relate or give me a possible diagnosis?

I have noticed lately that, in comparison to others, I don't have a lot of variation in my thoughts or activities. For example, when on the internet, i basically just have two or three websites that I go to. And I think I basically have a similar amount of stock 'thoughts' that go through my head all day. There's little variation in comparison to others.

Also, my daily activities are basically, sleep, eat, internet, maybe some bike riding.

I also sometimes get stuck with a certain phrase in my head and I repeat it every now and then.

Thoughts?

I don't know, IT. Of course we can't actually diagnose you. Actually I am having a similar life/experiences. Like you, I have certain sites I regularly go on and my schedule is mostly the same each day.

Just awhile ago I kept having the problem with thinking of words and then having to go through all the words that might rhyme with them. That's one reason I got out of bed and came back on here.

So, I am interested in what folks have to say, also. I am not too concerned myself with having a pretty basic routine. I do break it sometimes to go places. But I am annoyed with the repetitive thinking pattern. I spend a lot of time with word games, so is that a possible trigger?

Do you mind telling us what kinds of thoughts you are having?

I can't quite relate to repetitive thoughts, I am a random one. However, about having just a couple sites? Yes, I can relate. Hope you figure it out!

One thing I say a lot is 'lies', or 'wrong', when someone asks me a yes or no question.

I also think about a facebook friend's rat.

Simple stuff like that.

I get stuck in annoying little thinking patterns, and I also think that my thinking isn't as multi-directional as other people's.

Hmm. Have you asked a therapist or other health professional about these things?

I am concerned personally about mania.

But could something like that be related to OCD? At least the obsessive part?

More input from other folks, please!

My "diagnosis" - normal, boring, just like me. Was it Emerson who said something about the majority of men live lives of quiet desperation?

Possibly, I do have obsessive thoughts, but I've never been diagnosed with anything.

Thanks.

At the moment I keep repeating the phrase "Your rat honours me". It's something I said to a facebook friend who is a rat owner, just for a laugh. But I keep saying it to myself when nobody is around. And I also combine it with other phrases that I have been saying recently.

For example "your rat honours me" and "i'll just leave this here" become "I'll just leave my rat here".

If it's any consolation, I may actually get 'your rat honours me' in my head, today! Like that one, it's kinda catchy!

Hang in there! Do you need to just go out with some friends and reminisce and tell some funny jokes?!

Add: OK, could have used this one, this week. In regards to my exh, when I went to court, I could have used..

Your Honor, 'that rat' 'dis'-honours me

Do the repetitive thoughts have a negative tone to them? Have you tried CBT? Are you getting enough stimulation throughout the day to keep your brain happy?

It's funny how we use the words rat and dog as a slur against others. The word 'Dog' especially, since the eponymous dog is actually a smart and respectable animal.

Sometimes i get bored with my thoughts and try to induce dreams by taking b-vitamins before bed. Then when i wake up i have had some weird dreams and is like giving my brain a new toy to play with.

If you have this for longer than 2 weeks though it sounds like something is wrong. Theres tons of chemicals in your brain, its easy for them to get out of balance and leave you in an undesirable state of mind.
