I'm not sure where I would post this. I have been falling very easy lately, sometimes when I just get out of bed stand up and then falling. This happens I'm very lucky I have not gotten hurt as of yet. Has anyone had something like thsi happening. This is beginning to bother me the more it happens. I feel so embarrassed falling in public In the mall it happened could happen anytime. This does have me scared. I need to mention My left hip has been bothering me after a few feet walking.

Yes, that would be frightening.........

This started occurring to my brother in law........he is a big man and he was hitting the ground hard....got to where he never wanted to stand up any more.....

It turned out he had an inner ear problem.......

You should definitely go have this checked out.....don't let the fear keep you from going to the doctor.....

I gave massages to a woman with MS, for years.......she spoke to me of her, and other friends she has with MS, saying that the first sign for them was that they started falling down...

I have a brain injury and in the beginning of living with it....I fell all the time.....had to walk with a cane, or someone holding my hand.....I couldn't even lift one foot in getting dressed, or I just fell over.....

There could be all kinds of reasons this is happening.....so go get checked out....it could be something simple, or something more complex....but it needs to be addressed so that you will know, and can take what ever action is needed.........

I will breathe prayers it is something easily remedied.....

Blessings.........

Yes, I agree, knew someone with MS, that's the first thing I thought of too.

Your hip hurting; did that start before the first fall? You could have fractured it in one of your falls?

You definately need to go to the doctor and have it all checked out.

People with fibromyalgia can have this problem as well, I have had it myself and I have fibromyalgia. It can also be anemia.. do you have any warning? Or do you just go down? Any lightheadedness? And vertigo-like sensations?Dizziness?

Or do you think maybe your limbs are giving out without warning? Like my ankles do sometimes.. one minute I am walking across the parking lot and the next I am laying in the parking lot because my ankle went on me.. or my knee buckled suddenly, or my hip locked up....and sometime si don;t know what caused me to fall.

I think you definately need to make a visit to the doctor to be sure of what's going on. Better safe than sorry... Let us know what you learn. and Good Luck!Faith
