Stand defeated . . . almost

As I listen to my son and his playing of the "pipes", almost brings a tear to ones eyes. . . wishing if my dad had lived long enough to see the fine young man this child of mine has become If there is a heaven that so many believe in, may dad see and hear the wonderful music my son has learned to play, besides the beautiful pieces he has accomplished on the piano, such beautiful classic pieces.
Maybe to many tonite I am not making any sense, but I wish dad could hear his grandson do "Mist On The Mountain", a stirring piece on the "pipes" and several other ones that tug at my heartstrings If there is a God, please let him share these things with my dad
This fine young man, my one and only child, the child my dad had been proud of for some time, daddy, I hope you can hear this music my child, my fine young man plays from his heart for you.
Daddy, I hope you are out there, and can hear the music your grandson plays. . . we send it out to you

You don't ever have to apologize for posting something so loving as this. I know just how you feel. So many times I wish that my mother had lived to see her great-grandchildren. Mostly, I wish she'd seen my baby grow up. He was two when she passed. She'd be so proud of my oldest son, too. She called him "King David." I think it went to his head, too. LOL I've got one granddaughter who is the apple of my eye... of course, being the only girl. I wish Mom had been here to see her, but I know she's with us when Autumn and I play together. I can feel my mom around us.

Find comfort in your memories and in the knowledge that your dad sees and hears "his boy."
