MentalPollution needs our help.
Her husband lost his job and can't receive unemployment benefits. The local human services said they won't recieve food until next month, and it's still in the first week of this month. There are no food banks, or churches who offer assistance in their isolated area. She has called all local and state help agencies, to no avail. They're caring also for their disabled mother while she's attempting to gain SSDI. This family literally has food for a few more days and then have none with no other resources. If you'd like to donate to this fundraising effort, please do so today through PayPal to this email address: donations@psychcentral.com Place "MentalPollution" in the subject of the payment. Only donate what you can, and every $5 helps. To kick things off, I'm putting in $300. All funds will be sent to MentalPollution at the end of a week. Thank you for your generosity and support! John

I cannot express how thankful I am for this. I couldn't thank you all enough. I'm really at a loss for words.
I never knew angels flew so close to the ground. But, you all have shown to me that there are still wonderful, kind, giving people out there. My husband, myself, and my children thank you all so very much. I just don't know how to put it into words. We truly wouldn't have made it through this without your generosity and kindness. I don't think a simple thank you is enough, but it's all I have to offer right now. I am truly at a loss for words. Please let me know if there's anything I can do in return. I will gladly do it. Again, thank you all so much. I love each and every one of you for everything. You've been there for me emotionally more times than I can count. I truly, honestly do appreciate this. I have received nearly $150 in donations from others and appreciate all those who gave.

I will be closing this drive on Monday night. If you'd like to send money to MP after that, you can still do so. You can either (a) PM her directly for money sending instructions or (b) PM me to let me know it's on the way and I'll send her an additional check to collect any of those straggling funds.

My family and I thank you all so much. We would not have food or electricity without the kind people that generously donated money. My son, Tyler, wanted me to thank you all for him. My daughter, Abby, is disabled and she really doesn't understand enough to say thanks. But I know if she did she'd be thankful, too. And, my daughter, Cameron is too young to understand. My husband is astonished at how giving the people here are. Devin's mother is also disabled and lives with us, but she said to give a thank you from her, too. We all appreciate this more than words can say. I hope someday I can repay the kindness that has been shown to me here. You are all such a blessing.

If everyone could send just 1 dollar it would be a major help. You have a lot of members on this site. Please anyone who can try to send even a dollar.....20 people sending a dollar could support this family with meat this week or fruit and vegetables

I would but have myself had to visit the local food pantry for help in getting food this month. During with winter months I always hit the food pantry and sign up for the thankgiving and chistmas meal baskets form St Vincent Du Paul so that my cash can go to paying the winter heating. a couple times in the past 13 years even though I don't attend church I contacted the church just down the street and they took up a collection of food for me and my son.
Sorry I can't help Mental Pollution and hang in there. |

I think DocJohn had his address to send a check to (I don't have paypal either). Just send it to him & put on it Mental Pollution so he can include it in the fund. PM him & I'm sure he will give the address & instructions to you. I can't remember when the address was given out, but that's what I did.--Suzy

I am sorry to here about your husband losing his job
 I can't help you financially, but I can offer you support in other ways. I am here for you if you need anything to talk or what not. I have had the same thing happen to my self around this time of year and I know it can be tough. God is on your side and a better job opportunity is awaiting him right around the corner. First and foremost be positive it will all work out.
