i've been able to work on my website again, i started doing the redesign of the rollercoaster section, i saved that for last because it is going to be a huge task.

so far i've only done the busch gardens florida section. if functions completely differently than the old setup so see how you like. i am doing away with frames entirely on the site and i think the new way is a good compromise for functionality and much better in the way it looks. i;'m redoing all the pictures also so this is going te be o long project.

I think your sites great Dave. I really like rollercoasters. Never had the opportunity to visit many though. Great work!

thank you

i will let you know as i update more. i am redoing a lot of photos there, especially the older ones even though my source is still pretty flaky versions of my photos. the newer photos are scanned better and i have a lot more to work with.

as i'm redoing them though i am adding photos in some cases, plus i have photos that have been sitting here for one or two years that i never posted... great bear and other hershey coasters... talon at dorney... new "in operation" nitro photos and superman... and photos of phantom's revenge at kennywood, which was an absoluetly awesome ride, probably my favorite at all, and i think the "update" on my website still only says that they are building something new...

If this spring I can get you some top flight details about Great America's coasters, and then get you some first rate shots of them in action, would that be something you'd like in your website? I visit the park at least once a year for the kids sake. I'd be glad to do this for you. The coasters here are very highly rated. Let me know bud

I would love that! I've been trying to get a friend to take some photos for me of other parks with no luck. I think it would make my website more impressive to start including photos and text from other people.

Of course the photos have to live up to my high expectations (i.e. they better not be better than mine!) updated my rollercoaster website

You can see from my "older" pages that I have all of my coaster impressions lumped together on the entry page for each park. My intention for many years has been to change that to include a short personal description/"review" on the page for each coaster. Now that I am finally just reorganizing the whole thing I am taking the opportunity to do so, as you can see on the new section I have set up. I hope to start tackling Busch Gardens Virginia in the next week or so. I have more trips there with photos so that section will take longer. Of course the big task for me will be Cedar Point which is my favorite park with some of my favorite coasters and I have tons of photos there in all stages of quality, redoing them all is going to take a while.

Once I have a few more sections up you'll have a better idea of my intended "style". I have much more to say about the coasters at Cedar Point than those at BG.

As of today Busch Gardens Florida and Busch Gardens Virginia sections are updated, and I made some changes to the final layout and navigation, mostly to the index page for each park and to the navigation through the pages of individual photos.

Any feedback on the navigation? hard or easy to figure out how to see everything?

I'm starting work on the cedar point section... there is a LOT there, I'm redoing all the photos and I just spent 2 hours pulling scans of 111 photos just for cedar point. so before i start setting up those pages i want to know if there are any fundimental flaws with regard to viewing or navigation.

thanks and enjoy the photos! most of the photos are the same as before except I've been reworking them for qualityas much as possible (some are pretty old scans) but there are a few new photos that I've found that I'm adding too.
