Yes, they use everything. Play it up, no matter what it is!! Tell them EVERY LITTLE THING, no matter how insignificant you think it is. But I have to warn you, most of the time, these Drs still say there's nothing wrong with you. Don't worry about it. That's what they're paid to do. In most cases, their questions and/or tests don't go deep enough to prove anything.

Good luck! I've got my fingers crossed for you! ssa appointment

Maybe I hired the wrong attorney. As a matter of fact, I DID! LOL He didn't know his rectum from a hole in the ground. In fact, he gave me wrong information which delayed my claim another six months. I fired him a few days before I went to the hearing. The judge didn't even have the hearing. He said I had won and he didn't need to hear anymore. LOL

Yes, you will get retro pay from the day you first filed! ssa appointment ssa appointment

Glad you did not have a lot of trouble getting SSA . The one thing that is very bad for me, is the money from back payments will go to the long term disabilty and then when I get this the money will be removed to the penny the amout of ssa.

HI Ster,

The other poster is absolutely correct. Even though my doctors said I couldn't work, this doctor said I could. Don't let it get you down. I think most are that way.
I ended up hiring an attorney after that and then had no problem getting it.

So, good luck to you.
Linda

Let us know what happens. I am fighting for mine right now, got an attorney after my first time denied. Got denied for my reconsideration and now we are waiting to get a court date. Hang tough.
