I dunno what's going on but, my anxiety is coming back and its getting worse hour by hour. I dunno if posting here and bringing up all the crap I deal with is causing it or if its the upcoming appt. I have on the 6th but, its just a first appt. won't even be talking to a T. Just doing some paper work then will set up first appt. with a T.
I am trying deep breathing, ran out of yarn for my crocheting so that is out for occupying my time but, even last night I struggled to finish off the last bit of yarn I had. My heart kept racing, breathing was erractic, hands were shakey. I use to have attacks that were so bad, I would black out and wake up on the floor with my husband wanting to call 911. I don't wanna go back to that. crap, crap, crap..I just want it all to go away. |

Thought I would post a "know-how-you're-feeling" message.
Can't really offer you anything more as I am sure you know all the "tricks' on how to reduce the effects of anxiety without meds. On the other hand, if this is something you have dealt with before, maybe you can call your GP (if aware of your history) for an anti-anxiety medication until you can see your therapist. Just don't forget to keep on breathing... ![]()

You probably already know but sometimes it helps me if someone tells me again. Deep breaths. Slowly . Moving helps me. Walk, if you can. Don't stay still. Someone told me that sometimes when we start to feel safe that is when the crap comes out. Made sense for me. Might be worth looking at. Walking at least 30-45 minutes sometimes gets some sense of peace to kick in. How about a bubble bath or soft peacefull music? Good Luck!

Oh Charlajustin,
I'm so sorry you are having such a tough time. Even though it's hard sometimes to talk about the stuff that we try to keep buried and you hurt at the time, but it always in the end makes me feel better, so I do hope it's not because you are on here talking to us. I really feel it would help more than hurt. I agree, can you call your GP for some anti-anxiety meds? It may help you. Try and keep your breathing slow and deep. Keep the mind busy with something, whether it be a good movie or solitaire. Thinking of you, Linda
