Hello friends, particularly those in New England. Have you had experience with, or knowledge of the McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School?
Thanks in advance

I've done some research on McLean and have found they are top notch.
Thanks for this!

McLean was the single best treatment I have received in my entire life for mental health.
There are several programs that are run out of McLean, I was admitted to the Outpatient Behavioral Program. I was there for three weeks, which is a bit longer than the average, but I got quite a lot out of the psychoeducation programs they offer.

It really has changed the tools I have to deal with frustrations and challenges. Honestly, I should have gone sooner.

I would seriously recommend it to pretty much anyone- you have to want to be there though.

ETA: I would also add that they integrate many approaches into the program- it seemed much of the program was developed out of DBT principles- even in the Mood Disorder Track [and there are a few "tracks" depending on what you need to work on] and integrated into that was CBT and ACT at least.
Thanks for this!

Thank you, that has been my conclusion from my research.

THANK YOU. I am looking for a program with a focus on DBT. I've done some individual work (with the DBT workbooks by the original researchers) and have found it useful. Right now I'm at a personal low where I need more personal focused attention. Do you mind if I ask you how expensive it was?
Thank you again.

I have been to the dissociative/ trauma disorders inpatient program in Belmont, MA. It is definitely the best and most helpful place that I have been.

As far as the cost, it is according to whether you have insurance that they accept. If you are going to pay out of pocket then I would say that yes it is very expensive. They do also accept medicare and MA medicaid as well as many others.

Out of pocket, would it be in the $50,000 range?

An add question.
Sounds like McLean Hospital Harvard Medical is in the top 3 if not top 1. Any recommendations for "comparable" facilities in Colorado?
