{{{{{{{{{{Everyone}}}}}}}}}}}

I am going to ask you all for some positive thinking to come my way today....yes I am being greedy Needing some positive thinking here ;) but I think this may help us all.

I got a call from my doctor's office and he wants to see me right away......tomorrow. It was his secretary who called to tell me that my reports are in from my surgery but she could not tell me anything. He was away and will not be back til tomorrow. My check up was not supposed to be for another 2 weeks so of course I am worried sick that something showed up during my surgery. My emotions are all over the place today.

I wanted to start a power of positive thinking thread here.....that is what always helps me and I think we may all be helped in the process?

I will start some positive thinking here....please join me in adding thoughts and quotes that mean something to you.

The person who sends out positive thoughts activates the world around him positively and draws back to himself positive results.

Standing by,
All the way.
Here to help you through your day.

Holding you up,
When you are weak,
Helping you find what it is you seek.

Catching your tears,
When you cry.
Pulling you through when the tide is high.

Absorbing your voice
When you talk.
Standing by when you learn to walk.

Just being there,
Through thick and thin,
All just to say, you are my friend.

- Brittani Kokko -

Friendship is like the breeze,
You can't hold it,
Smell it,
Taste it,
Or know when it's coming,
But you can always feel it,
And you'll always know it's there,
It may come and then go,
But you can know it'll always be back.

- Terri Fanning -

Sending lots of love your way, Heather.

Life's Recipe

1 cup of Good Thoughts
1 cup of consideration for others
3 cups of forgiveness
1 cup of kind deeds
2 cups of well beaten faults

Mix these thoroughly and add tears of joy and sorrow and sympathy for others. Fold in 4 cups of prayer and faith to lighten other ingredients and raise texture to great heights of Christian [or insert whatever applies here] living. After pouring all this into your daily life, bake well with heat of human kindness. Serve with a smile.

I don't know who wrote this, but since it starts out with good thoughts it seemed to fit here. My thoughts are with you, Heather. Needing some positive thinking here ;)

^ those are "positive" thoughts Needing some positive thinking here ;)

Heather

Any situation like this is going to be stressful. When I was young I used to do this to people all the time... tell them I needed to see them later to talk to them about something. When I got older I stopped doing that after realizing how bad it is to be on the receiving end of that: "Don't tell you you need to tell me something later! Just tell me now! Or just wait and tell me later!"

Unfortunetaly with really serious things like surgery that is not always possible, they have to set up appointments with you, etc. But in compensation you have people like us who can be "with you" and send you positive thoughts.

And on that end remember that whatever news they have isn't necessarily very bad. Could be something minor they need to check out or something. If it was VERY serious they would not have made you wait till tomorrow, if the doc was out they would have given you a covering doc or told you to check in to the ER or something. So whatever they have to tell you lies in the middle somewhere.

Try not to worry to much. I know that's impossible sometimes but stay here and let us keep your mind off of it with our love and support and our silly avatars... did you see my new little fox avatar? Make you smile? Tame the fox? He's cute, no?

Take care and let us know how it goes tomorrow.

Best wishes and good luck.

You know, Dave, more people need to realize that. Last week when I had those couple of days that I was freaking out, it was because someone had called and made an appointment to talk to me in a couple of days. The last time I had had a meeting like that with that group it was a complaint about the way I take care of my kids and keep house, and it triggered a major depressive episode. So even though it wasn't anything bad this last time, my anxiety level peaked out for two days. My husband told them they can't do that to me anymore. If they want to talk to me they have to just grab me and talk to me, not make me sweat about it first.

Yea I think that is a stressful thing in general for anybody. With the addition of anxiety, depression, etc. it just makes it worse, so is worth calling attention to those who do it (because mostly they don't mean to be making stress, they just haven't thought about it).

Heather,

I definitely understand what you mean about just doing the 'grab and tell' - my boss told me one day (when she was unhappy with me for something....but I didn't know what) that she wanted to talk to me. Problem was, that was on a Friday, she was out Monday and Tuesday of the next week - and in the end, she never ended up saying anything to me about the subject. So, 4 days (including my precious weekend!) were totally blown. I definitely prefer people to just say "hey, if you could not do ______ again, that'd be great" so I can say "oh, ok, sorry!" and then that's the end of it.

My imagination is way too powerful for me to sit and "stew" about things. Getting a lot better at control my faithful friend Irrational Anna, thank God! LOL Needing some positive thinking here ;)

Thank you all for your love and caring.....you guys truly are my guardian angels.

Well I just got back from my doctor's appt.....He wanted to see me early cause there was a mess in me...I have to see him every 6 weeks as he wants to keep check on my insides. One of the fibroids he removed was the size of a cantaloupe (there were also 3 others) and there were so many cysts in my ovaries that he said they could not even be counted. I was also full of pre cancerous cells which concerned him...everyone woman has pre cancerous cells he said but mine that were tested had a higher level of something in them....I can't remember what he said LOL...he just wants to keep an eye on things as those cells that are still there can turn into something worse. My uterus was also attached to my bowel.....just so many things that were going on in there. I am so lucky I had it done. Restrictions are still in place for lifting...at least another month or 2 of no lifting anything over 5 lbs. I can drive short distances but no long trips.

He said another 6 months and it could have been so much worse. Someone was watching out for me that's for sure.

I want you all to hug someone really special right now (look in the mirror everyone) and give yourselves a hug....that is from me.

Love you all.

Oh, (((((((Heather)))))))), you must be so relieved; I know I am. So what I'm hearing is that all is well, but it's important to keep an eagle eye on things so that anything that could possibly occur later can be taken care of right away... That sounds like an excellent strategy to me! Sending big hugs to you. As ever, Peanut
