I'm trying not to overreact here. Trying to keep my feet planted firmly on the ground. Trying to convince myself this is nothing. But I'm struggling.

Six years ago my mother was dx'ed with lung cancer. She had her left lung removed and a 1/4 of her right lung. She is also a breast cancer survivor, 11 years.

The Dr. said she was at a high risk for recurrence of the lung cancer and had to have scans every six months until she reached the 5 year mark. Then she could go every year. She just had her yearly one done.

The Dr.'s office called her yesterday and said the Dr. would like her to come in and talk with him about the results of her test. He's never done this before. In fact they've always said, "if you don't here from us then everything is fine."

I am scared that everything is not fine. My Mother

I guess there is nothing to do but wait until next Wednesday. My Mother

Thanks for listening.

Petunia

I'm thinking about you and your mother. I know the waiting will be terrible. We are here if you need us.

Only next Wednesday? That is quite a wait. I don't blame you at all for struggling.

There is nothing much I can say except try to hang in there.

Will be thinking of you.

I hope the waiting goes quickly and you find the medical professionals just have additional questions. Take care.

Petunia,

Can you call back and ask if you can come in sooner?

You're both in my thoughts and meditations. I can't imagine how anxious and concerned you both are. I hope she's able to get in sooner than Weds.
