That does not sound like lying, but more like obfuscation of some less important personal details while getting the core of your queries to us right.

Wow!

Are you lying now?

Update-Since posting this I have read several of your posts. I am laughing myself silly. This one really got me, "I have also installed a clock onto the shell of my turtle"
I wonder if anyone questioned all the wackiness?

I hope your change for the better does not impair your marvelous ability to spread mirth and bring smiles.

We all consist of many different parts developed on the basis of life experiences. We also all have our well rehearsed coping skills and ultimately our own journey of self discovery. Sounds like you have found the start of something new here on PC.

IT, I think most of us knew this but what I also know is you like to get ppl talking and also like a bit of attention....what I am wondering is, are you opening up because you want to be honest now or is it just another attention seeking ploy?

I like you IT and I think you're very funny so don't take any of that the wrong way. I just want you to do this for the right reasons....

I don't know who has been hurt by my lies. I issued a blanket apology of sorts earlier in this thread though.

I think I was just having a down moment and I wanted to be able to talk about my problems on PC. The lies make it much harder to do.

Yeah I can see how that would hinder you. I am glad you've come out and opened up about this.

I don't see the stories you told as anything harmful...they were obviously made and actually quite funny.

It's lies to do with the serious stuff that would have a negative impact and without the truth, no on can fully support you here...so yeah, it's good you've decided to turn over a new leaf.

Sorry you was feeling down. Are you still feeling down now?

I don't think you can pin it down as far as who you have hurt. Who knows? Maybe nobody....

To me (and this is my opinion only), lies=distrust. Perhaps this is a stupid thing for me to do, but I expect to be able to trust people on PC.
Thanks for this!

I didn't know you yet, but I want to tell you that you have been very brave to admit this. But you don't need to lie here Here you can be what you are.
Since you have a therapist, did you tell him that you have this problem with lies? I'm not very informed, but I know that some disorders can bring people to lie. Maybe your therapist could help you.

Well, I appreciate your honesty. You did "confess," and so just take it from here, one day at a time. (I personally am not upset with you, and I don't think too many here are, either!) Thanx.

It was the first time, probably you felt a bit uncomfortable and for this it happened I too have troubles thinking things to say in confession, though surely there are some.

I don't know you, but when someone lies to me, they lose my respect. Have you encountered this?
