I feel so angry and scrolled down trying to find an appropriate forum to post it in and couldn't. Would a forum for talking about anger etc be possible? or am I just to angry to think straight right now?

Hi mouse,

I'm sorry that you're angry! You're right, there isn't really a direct anger forum. Any ideas for new forums would need to brought up with a member of Admin.

I hope you get to feeling better.

Mouse,

I'm sorry that you're dealing with so much anger.

Do you have an idea of the source? If so, that's the forum I'd put the post in.

Yes, it would be a good idea to have an anger forum, maybe someone should talk to an admin. about it? I am also angry about some things, and this would help to blow some steam off for angry people i think.

I wish for an ANGER forum also. None of the other headings seem appropriate a lot of the times for the anger I may be feeling.
There are many people dealing with anger issues on this site. Maybe if enough people ask then the administrators will take it into consideration. I don't know...maybe not.

Thanks, guys.

We've had discussions for and "anger forum" where members could go and dispute differences, debate, etc., and it was decided that we just don't have the tools to deal with something of that nature at this point.

However, I think you're talking about a forum to have to go and scream, vent, rage, "let it all hang out" kinda forum on any topic? If so, I think that's a good suggestion for when we have our next forum additions. Anger forum!

Thank you always for showing your needs!

interesting thought

i often find myself really angry about things and it is pretty destructive. not sure how it could be handled in a forum. but maybe a section with some suggestions for exercises or activities that you can do when angry to help release it in a "safe" manner

I thought a forum where it starts "I am angry because" I wasn't looking for a "debate" forum..LOL I know better then to debate when I'm angry...but other sites have a forum for anger..just crossed my mind that this site lacks that...

Right! I misread your first post and that's why I wanted to clear up that I understand what it is you're asking for.

Thank you again Anger forum!

Yeah, me too! I've been wanting a place wherein I can express my anger. And learn anger management. Either by applying cognitive-behavioral techniques or by applying a psychodynamic approach to my rage.
In the meantime I think i would find it useful to post either here or in the psychotherapy forum. Because I like to understand the source of my anger, but really understand it as in insight-oriented (psychodynamic) therapy. On second thought, if my rage is being triggered by my kids I might post in that forum, and if it's triggered by employer I might post in work-related forum if there is one. Not sure.
But anyway, what is it you're angry/enraged about?

I also agree that creating an anger forum is not the best idea. Perhaps if you think of why you are angry, what is the source (what is causing it) you can post in that forum ... family? relationships,, depression?.... slowness of healing? psychotherapy... or is it part of your disorder? your physical health?

I'm not against anyone here... but anger management begins with focus I think... and a forum might do more harm than good. Random venting is not healing imo, but reinforcing a bad habit. Anger forum!

I think members would receive a better response, and a more understanding one (?) when the post is in the forum to which it relates.

Just my POV.
