I am sick to my stomach thinking of what he was feeling at that moment. I know I have been there. I can't even take it. I keep thinking there is no hope for me. Years down the road even I kill myself anyway after all this therapy.

Like you say under your avatar, sometimes the goal is just surviving.

Yes, very sad news. I did hear that he went back to rehab for alcohol addiction a few months ago. He was so full of life, it's hard to believe.

IDK that there's been an official ruling... as to the cause.

This is deeply sad. Only the grace of God has kept me from that "too far" point.

May he rest in peace. What terrible news on an already terrible day for myself and many others. I hope his family sticks together.

I am so sad to hear of his tragic passing from possible suicide today. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. Depression is no joke, suicide is no joke. Seek help no matter what to save your life.

When I first found out about his death, it seemed that the world around me stopped. His death was so sudden I didn't know what to feel but anguish. Robin was one of my beloved actors, and now that he has left the Earth, I broke down in tears. No stranger has made me cry like this, leaving me devastated, but I know hundreds are mourning for his death just like me.

I loved his movies and always looked forward to them. They would always make me laugh, entertaining me with his silliness and heartfelt acting: Jumanji, Mrs. Doubtfire, Night at the Museum, Popeye, Robots, Hook, etc. He was one of the best comedians. He knew how to make my family have a great time

He was suffering major depression, and seeing that wide smile of his, I knew he was still enjoying life despite whatever trouble he was experiencing in his life. I know he's content now, resting peacefully in Heaven.

RIP Robin Williams~

I think this post may be moved...

The world is a darker place without him. So sad.

I have a similar feeling as an earlier poster here…. if someone as loved and successful can follow through on a suicide, then what are my chances as a socially isolated person of limited resources?

He was an artist, born in a free society.
In think a lot of my generation will follow. I don't feel sad about it.

I'm old enough to remember Mork. All that hurts is to remember how we were, and what we threw away.

He is still a beautiful soul somewhere. I bet he's having fun.

He never reminded me or made me think of him as having a mental illness. Most mentally ill wear their diagnoses' like badges. They want to be recognized as being special or unique because they suffer. Robin gave the world his good side. He didn't show the bad stuff...or at least we couldn't see behind his screen. THAT is what made him unique. It's our character that counts, not our labels.
