Hi girly how are you? How does your garden grow? I am doing fine. I caught 7 little snails in my Kool aid snail trap this morning and Im so happy! They were stripping my little dahlias and pansies, the little rats. Rockin Survivors It doesn't take much to get me happy, does it?
What's new in your neck of the woods? How is your memorial day? I have all my flags flying...I do love flags. Don't know what the plan is yet, hubby still sleeping from last nights blackjack game. I hear he won, though.
Been thinking good thoughts for you, hope all is going good. Did you find some Seroquel yet? Or do you still struggle with the "stigma" of asking? I hear ya. Hang in there, the time will come of it's own accord.
Rockin Survivors
Love ya

Hi gals,

Just wanted to pop in here and say how dee doo! I am tired from working fulltime for the first time in years but I am feeling more confident as a result. My obsessive mind still runs but I can look at it a little more objectively so that is good.

I haven't planted my garden yet Rockin Survivors but I plan to!
Are there pics of your gardens?

talk to you all soon,

Amie2

Hi Amie
So nice to see you and Hello everyone!
No pictures of my garden for now it would be a big dirt pic with some weeds and seeds and small starts. LOL but big things are soon to come and maybe some pictures later. I planted marigolds yesterday.

I am feeling better today. Doc doubled my neuroleptic , woo hoo, now I feel all normal and stuff. Niiiice for me. We are having a garage sale, well the old man is, I am too nice to negotiate, I would give the stuff away! So I am cleaning out my closet which I love to do and converting an old skirt to a mini. I have lost weight and I'm trying to show off my 40 yr old legs off. LOL So have a happy day all!
Love

Hi Dul and all,

Well I still haven't planted my garden. My husband is doing all sorts of stuff in the yard so he is in my way. Plus, I always wait for him to dig the garden up for me (I might have to rethink that).

Last night I cleaned out the last bit of stuff from my sister's house (she died in Nov). Whew! It is weird being there but it is sad to now not be able to go there too.

I had a good day at work today. I did not obsess, which, interestingly, made me not be tired like the other days. It felt good.

It is hot here today holy cow Rockin Survivors How is it in others' neck of the woods?

You know, I've never thought the term "survivor" applied to me. But, let's see what I've been through:

-Severe OCD
-A long-term relationship break up when I was first diagnosed with OCD
-Two drug overdoses
-The nightmare that I lived EVERY SINGLE DAY from Years 7-10 at a Boys only high school
-Years of loathing the birthmark on my neck, which caused me to wear collared shirts everyday, even around my family
-Abusing painkillers to cope with my OCD
-Suicidal periods
-Years of sleep disturbance
-Loathing my appearance so much that I despise leaving the house
-Being unable to work for last year and a half

Six months ago I had learned to cope better with my OCD and was ready to go back to work until I suffered a severe relapse. I am now back in my second bout of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and re-learning the techniques that had slipped away from me.

You know, I guess I'm still here. I'm doing my absolute best to get my life into some semblance of normalcy and that's all anyone can ask. I'm trying anything and everything to start living again.

I suppose that makes me a survivor, doesn't it?

Yes Quirkser I think that makes you a survivor in my world too. Unfortunately your story is familiar. I admire your perseverance. I guess that's the number one characteristic of a survivor. Living life is the prize.

Good to see you here.....

Nice to meet you too Kingsrule... very encouraging words you shared with us. Thanks for the reminder of the importance of the little things we do. It doesn't take much to change our world for good. A little bit of love can go a long ways. And its free to give to anyone.

Hi all,

I was a bit freaked out for a moment there because I couldn't reply. Realized that I hadn't signed in

I think that my ip address has been blocked by MT. I think it is because I wasn't posting. And even though things have not been good there it seems unfair that I have been blocked. But I am sure my issue isn't as hard as those of others.

Chocolate lover it is good to see you here. Dul, thank you for the cyberhug, I don't think that I have ever received one before!

I never did get to a garden, my husband is building a new fence and it is all over the place.

Hello ladies.... my garden is growing wild. I garden very 'densely'.... in other words.... not much room between plants. I do my best to keep the worst of it tamed but it does have a mind of its own right now. Grow, grow and grow some more!!!

I'm strickly a flower and bush gardener. The odd patch of strawberries and a tomatoe plant or celery stalk scattered here and there to catch the best bit of sun shine. Same with the herbs. Some in pots some among the lilies and some as ground cover in areas that seem always in want of more water.

It's been raining quite a bit the last while which has been good for giving the garden a good drink but not so good for the delicate poppies and peonies that took a hard hit from the rain and are now leaning and sagging from the weight of the rain built up on their petals and leaves. Seems to happen every year. As soon as the peonies and poppies bloom the rain comes and tramples them down. Oh well they are still beauties to behold in my book.

The greatest joy of gardening for me is seeing something new everyday. It changes so fast even though it moves so slowly. So many life parallels. You get what you give. You prograstinate too long and life goes on without you. You let the weeds in and they will take over. Beauty is fleeting but life is eternal. If at first you don't succeed.... there will always be next year. Take the time now to smell the roses cuz tomorrow they may be rose hips and the perfume will be gone. Clear away the deadwood to reveal the freshness of a new life that is determined to find its way to the light. Soil, water and sunshine... the recipe for a garden. Love, joy, peace..... the recipe for life.

Wishing you all days filled with life..... love, joy and peace be with you.

That's a beautiful analogy ChocolateLover.

What if one doesn't know the difference between a weed and a flower though??? LOL

beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I got a free plant once from the garden nursery. I pointed to this plant in her display garden and she said 'oh that's a weed... you can have it.' I was thrilled. It still has a home in my garden.

What makes a weed for me is too many of the same thing invading and strangling other plants. I let them all into my garden. Just in controlled colonies.
