By a person, that is. I know my pets love me, but cannot think of a person that does, or ever did. I've had people say it, but actions speak louder than words and all that, ya know?

i have always struggled with love and connections because of my mental healht issues. i am working on building relationships and trust with people now. i consider my coworkers my family as they are with me a majority of the time and we are a real team. just the other night i was texting with one and said she could have something of mine she liked. she was thrilled and this came through in her texts. she was telling me how much she appreciated me and how blessed she felt to have me in her life. she is just the cutest purest sweetest person and i am thinking about this as i am reading her texts and i actually felt this feeling swelling in my heart and an overwhelming sense of admiration and caring for her and just thought that i really love having her in my life. i dont know that i have felt that before. i hope that helps.

wow It's such a tough place to try and live, isn't it?

I was just about to post asking if anyone here really cared about me, and whether I stayed or not... but then felt that was too selfish... plus you know, I'm one of "those" Christians that are supposed to live without anyone but God...and if I were only a spiritual being, that would be fine with me.

Thank God for our dogs eh?

It's like a superbooster to your self-esteem. You feel like you can do anything and want to do anything for the other person. It's like knowing that when you think of the other person they do the same (maybe not at the exact same time but you get it). And by this I mean spending time together. Having someone who loves you around fills your heart and when they leave it empties only partly b/c you know they'll be back again. Then there's the whole being able to trust > communicate > connect but it sounded like you wanted the feeling portion of love. That's prob the best I can describe it. There's a lot more to it as well but there's my shot at defining love Also this is like relationship love did you mean family/friends?

Doing volunteer work has helped me. It gets me out of myself and I meet good hearted people.
