I took the online versions of this personality test (I don't know how to take an 'official' one), just because I keep hearing about it. All three tests I took (one, two, three) said that I am INFJ with the J being only slightly ahead by 10-21%.

You guys seem to have a lot of knowledge about it - what does it mean? What are your types? Whats the point in knowing?

Edit: I looked up some info on it and it reaaaally sounds like me. It seems so accurate.

I took the Myers Briggs test. It pretty well summed me up. I do not remember which four letters were mine. But ultimately, the test did not help me achieve my goals because the college was not prepared to handle someone with ADD.

I think these are very accurate, I took it years ago and it said I have the same personality type as I did when I took it a couple months ago (ENFP), even though many aspects about me have changed since then. That website says our personality types are "preferred partners" for each other the info they give about mine, from multiple sources; sounds just like me to.

I have such a hard time with this! I am always very strongly an I and a J. The S and N have varied and I get completely stuck on the Thinking vs. Feeling questions because I feel totally 50% each way on them, so I have gotten totally different combinations each time I have taken it! The descriptions also confuse me for each...I am about 50% of each of the 4 options, sigh. Maybe because I am a gemini??

I am also an INFJ. Once I read the description, I thought that's me! I haven't taken the test in a long time so maybe it's changed, who knows.

I'm always a strong I and T. I'm usually INTJ but depending how I interpret the questions, I might sometimes be ISTJ or INTP. I'm more moderate N and J and more extreme I and T. Even with the variations I have never ended up ISTP.

For you who are feelers instead of thinkers, do you mainly get the score from empathizing (I sortof hate the question if I feel involved in soaps, I mean... those are so boring... why not ask if feeling involved in a good movie? LOL), or do you get it mainly from letting emotions guide your actions?

I don't really know much about this (still learning) but my scores are like 50/40 (feel/think). I know I do empathize with people greatly; I used to be the kind of person who cries when other people cry. T also has told me that she has to give it to me that I'm very nonjudgmental (not that I never judge) but in generally any situation, regardless of depth I try to think about what the other person must be thinking and feeling (sometimes to an unhealthy extent) before I allow my own self to react. On the other hand, she has also said that I am an extensive thinker and an extensive feeler and I haven't learned how to mix the two (I feel strongly without knowing the cause of my feelings, and I think without feeling for fear of feeling too much or feeling incorrectly). I don't know if this helps or even makes sense.

INTJ here. I identify strongly with the type. I've been hanging out in INTJ forums online, and really enjoy it.

I'm an INFJ, I love to analyze these tests it's such an interesting topic. I used to oscillate between INTJ and INFJ, but the more I began to understand the thinking behind the test I think it became clear that I am an INFJ. Fun fact: Hitler, Gandhi, and Ludwig Wittgenstein are said to be INFJs --> http://www.celebritytypes.com/infj.php

I am an INTJ.

SEES SELF: as someone who must keep on improving what they know, and what they don’t know.

OVERRIDING NEED: independence and perfection in those things that interest them.

IRRITATED BY: people who pry too much into their private world, lack of commitment and imagination from others, too much supervision.

STRENGTHS: can organise ideas into action, work to remove all obstacles to goal attainment, have a strong vision of what is achievable.

SEEN BY OTHERS: as unflappable and self-reliant to a point of being intimidating, difficult to know.

DECIDES on the basis on what seems fair, may decide sometimes too quickly but willing to back track and reassess.

IRRITATES OTHERS BY: by been too demanding, too task-focused, and blunt.

CHALLENGES: may appear so unyielding that others are afraid to challenge them, may have difficulty letting go of impractical ideas.

This is probably a reason I irritate a lot of people here lol I took this when I was 17 for a psychology course just for fun, it has stuck with me though for some reason.

INFJ, though not by much. I am pretty close to INFP. And/or INTJ/INTP.

I'm strongly INTJ,

Years ago, I did a communications course based on Myers Briggs. It was fascinating. It started with our taking the test which was then professionally scored. Then we were grouped with like individuals and given a series of scenarios to see how we'd respond. It was fascinating to see how alike we INTJ's were, and how different our opposites were.

It really helped me a lot with workplace communication, because I learned how different types of people prefer different communication styles.

I ALWAYS get INTJ with this test, but on other tests I have also tested as ISTJ or ISFJ or INTP. There is a forum called 'personality cafe' which has alot of info about the different types so u might want to go there.
