Hey Everyone!!! I am home now!! YAY!! I am very tired. But it feels good to be home. They think it could be some angina or stomach problems. I have to call a gastroenterologist tomorrow and set up an appt with him and get some tests done. If those turn out ok then I will have to get a heart cath done. The stress test went ok yesterday. They had me on oxygen most of the weekend, nitrogen pils and morphine for pain. So I was a bit loopy .. more than usual lol. I am so tired right now though.. Wednesday night is when this all went down. I had a very bad squeezing chest pain around my heart. It radiated up into my shoulder and neck and left arm. I know I know it was friday before I went to the hospital. But you see I kept thinking about my parents being older and all their health problems that they went and are going thru and do I want to prolong my life and do the same thing ? Do I want to try to live to be like that? I dont have kids I dont have anything to live for like that . But Some friends talked me into it. So I went. and here I am All should be ok ... I hope.

im so glad your home. you gave us such a scare. dont do that ever again or ill have to come there and leave my kids with you for punishment. lol im glad your home and hope you are feeling better. im sure this must be a wake up call to take care of YOU.

I decided to use this thread to explain a couple things that happened since I was in the hospital. That way you all would know what I was talking about .

I did explain in Health Support that I had a Gastro Intestinal doctor appt last week. To make sure the pains werent part of a stomach or esophegeal problem they are doing an endoscopy on Tuesday . Sometimes the stomach and esophegus can spasm which is comparable to the chest pains I was having.

Yesterday I had a cardiologist appt. I redescribed my symptoms to him and he thinks this is mostly caused by angina. Something my dad has had also. Dad also had a heart attack. And Mom had and Dad has..CHF ~Congestive Heart Failure. So because of all of that. He still thinks that if everything turns out ok with the endoscopy that they will still do a heart catherization. I am scared to death because Mom had a bad reaction to the dye for the heart cath. I felt so overwhelmed int the office yesterday that I forgot to ask him about that. He prescribed a couple drugs . One for me to take everyday to help prevent the angina. And the other is the nitroglycerin. I will take that everywhere with me in case it comes on. Which I've had some small bouts of it since coming home from the hospital . But none as bad as that one night.

Thank you everyone who have been asking me how I am doing and supporting me thru this. If I didnt have you guys and my real life friends .. and ok .. my part time husband lol... I would be lost . Your love and continuing support mean so much to me. You are absolutely the best!!!

I was surprised at how quickly that part of it was over with............they ask you about certain allergies to things before they ever start. The hardest part for me was the laying still and not moving for several hours after the cath.

Thank you mssumom.... my brother inlaw had one done last October and he didnt have to lay there for that long.. I think it was for an hour .. they use some kind of plug now? Cant think of the name. Hopefully if I have to have this done they will use that also.. Guess we'll have to see. Glad your experience went good and quick for you.

Jan~ I go back in a month.. I am sure I will find out then if they want to do this or not then. If they do I can discuss what happened with mom then. I am already thinking of questions about my dx and want to discuss things with him .. and I have that question wrote down.
