Gray coonie is doing much better and still inside the house. His leg is red and raw looking, but he is letting me pet him and purring, sleeping next to me on the sofa.
Thanks to all of you for the help and advice. I was frantic and really appreciate your responses ...very helpful.
Love
Patty

I'm glad to hear that your cat is doing better. It is hard when you accidently hurt a pet.

Thanks, Sab and Hope....
I still haven't gotten over it! But with the loving advice rec'd here, I was able to leave him alone and keep him in, and relax a bit!
I'll be much more careful in the future, and use Pat's wet butt method!
Love
