I've been having a problem with my computer monitor, it's been getting worse and now I can only work for about 10 or 20 minutes before it flakes out. I have someone coming tonight to help me box it up for repair.

I think i have another monitor to hook up and use in the meantime, if it works i'll be ok for a while, should take about 2 weeks for the repair. but if i'm silent suddenly it is because i ended up being completely down until the monitor is fixed.

I have an extra monitor if you need one. We can work out some way of getting it to you. Let me know.

i'm on again for a brief period...

still hoping for help for a swap tonight, i'm cleaning my "office" room to get ready. (I'm cleaning a room! yea!)

i also have a really small monitor here if worst comes to worst. i should have no problem getting back online. the problem is with the graphics work i am trying hard to expand on. just can't do that on a small monitor. in fact... kinda hate to reveal this because you'll realize how whiny i am being... i have TWO monitors connected to my machine right now, one big one small... when working in a graphics app that lets you put all the tool palettes on one monitor and keep the big one clear for the thing you are working on. problem with the big one going bad is when it flakes out i can't switch to the other one as my "main" because all the dialog boxes and command boxes come up on the big one.

so i'll be ok with the basics, but the things that are really important for me right now will be on hold for a few weeks. if i can get the other bigger one working, it's much smaller than what i have now but is big enough to work on at least.

I'm up and running... thank god for kevin... my monitor wouldn't fit in his car so he borrowed his dad's truck and it wouldn't fit in that either so we plopped it in the back with some bags to protect it from the (current) rain and hail here.

but it's there at the pick-up point now ready to be shipped and should go out tomorrow.

I got the other monitor hooked up and the display is giving me a headache already... lower refresh rate and not as clear text... plus I'm hunched over even more because it is lower. But at least it is functioning and I can go on with my life. Like I said, should be about two weeks however long it takes to get Kevin over here to help me lug it back upstairs.

I may not be able to read as much because ot the poor display (my eyesight is bad to begin with) but at least I'm here computer woes
