I've never seen a bobcat before. I hope your neighbor heals up quick. The rabies series thing isn't fun.

We see bears here a good bit when we go hiking. My dog being the idiot he is actually barks at them. They always just walk away. I'm not even scared of them anymore. They are cute!

Petunia,

The bobcat I saw in our backyard, the first year we moved here, was about three-feet tall.

On a lighter note, when I lived in Florida, one of the women who was an important source of information for one of the projects I worked on, told me this story. She lived out in the country, and she saw this tall cat hanging around her house.

The tall cat came into her kitchen one day, and she fed him some food. Everything was fine, until she closed the outside door, and the tall cat went bezerk.

Many of you have probably already figured out the tall cat was a bobcat, and when she closed the door he felt trapped, and his wildness emerged.

She opened the door, and he left, without anybody getting hurt.

IDK, but I don't remember a time when I didn't know what a bobcat looked like... and I grew up in the middle of a BIG city! Bobcat attack Geeez! The size alone is intimidating!
