Maybe after some time she will start accepting it and seek medical attention

Maybe you could tell a doctor about this whole situation and ask what you should do? Obviously if she doesn't want medical treatment, there is no forcing her, but maybe a doctor could give you advice on how to treat her, what you could do for her, etc? Maybe that's a dumb idea, though. I'm sorry you are going through this.

Hi Skittles,

I know a couple of people like this. They just would rather not know - it makes it tough for the people that love them to deal with their decision.

Just be supportive and tell her you love her and let her go her way. If she wants to talk about going to a doctor certainly speak about it, but I find if you try to push they go further away.

Tranquility

I'm sure this is so heartbreaking for you and the rest of your family. I'm so sorry hon.

If there is anything I can do, please feel free to pm me.

I'm sure she will love and appreciate any support you can give her at this time.

Take good care!

(((((((((((skittles)))))))))))

My husband was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer in September. It has metastacized to his liver and lungs. He's had surgery to remove the tumors in his colon and has undergone chemo for 6 months. Just 1 more week of chemo and a surgery to reverse the colostomy and he is done!!! His "warning" signs started just a few weeks before the diagnosis with severe diahrrea. Just wanted to let you know that even though his cancer had reached a probable terminal stage that he has pulled through!!! There is hope.

Take care,
Dee
