Hi Everyone!

Would you tell me what you expect from a TRUE FRIEND?

Please exclude a casual acquaintance, co-worker or even a family member.

I am curious to know what a TRUE FRIEND means to you...

All responses/stories welcomed!

Sincerely,
Grace03

A true friend will tell you the truth, no matter how much it hurts.

A true friend will hold you when the truth hurts and not judge you.

A true friend will give up their favorite soap opera to talk to you on the phone when your world is falling apart.

A true friend will be the first one available in an emergency.

A true friend will laugh at your silly jokes, cry when you cry and will embrace the good and the bad about you.

A true friend will trust you with their life and can be trusted with your life.

A true friend is non-judgemental and will never say "I told you so" (unless their joking True Friendship)

A true friend will accept you, fleas and all!

A true friend will love you, unconditionally True Friendship

Hugsssss

Hi Grace03,

There are so many individual and personal things that people would desire from a true friend. A good quote to go by is:

“A true friend is someone
who knows the song in your heart
and who can sing it back to you
when you have forgotten the words.”

Big friendly hug. ~ Bee

True Friendship I love that quote. Here are a few others that mean something to me. But most importantly a friend is someone who knows you and loves you anyways. They support you and call you on your stuff. They are always there when you need them and even when you don't.

"A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out."

"Everyone hears what you say.
Friends listen to what you say.
Best friends listen to what you don't say."

"Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly."

In this lonely...lonely world...
we all need someone to relate to...
that certain someone that you can pour your heart and soul out to....
Someone you feel comfortable and trust giving your deepest secrets to...knowing you will not be betrayed.
Someone who knows you for your faults...as well as the "good traits"...but still loves and accepts you for just being...you.
Someone who makes you feel like being "you".
When you find that magic person..please...please let them know that they are special and that you care and feel that way for them too.
