In a purely philosophical and not at all suicidal moment, I started to think of why do I live? What do I live for? What is the point of not only my life, but of human life in general? I haven't figured out an answer for these myself. What do you think the answers to these questions are?

ah one of the age old questions of the world!

To put it quite simply, we are each here to find our reason for being here. We each have a path we are on, and it's up to us to make it the best and to make ourselves the best we can be. Of course, my path includes God.

_Sky put it correct. Initially, noone has a given meaning in life, except the urge to survive. You must find your own path in life.

And about the whole "how did it all start-/why do we exist?" question; Noone knows.

I struggled with this for YEARS!!! Every once in awhile when I am particularly blue it kinda comes up.

I have spent much time working on what my spiritual feelings are and what I now believe is that we planned this life before we came - I know, dont' flame me, even the bad stuff. But I think we do plan it so that we can come back and learn more lessons until we can cross over to the other side in the most purest and wisdom filled way.

If I believe that it helps me believe that their is a purpose to this.

The point of human life is the same as the point of all life: to reproduce. If you can't do that, then in a more general sense, to advance life in general, or human life in particular. There is plenty to do to accomplish that.

To prove ourselves to ourselves and find out just what we are capable of while making the world a better place.
