This is why I sometimes "hate" people

We had a sort of a guest, a friend of someone that lives here. Well she lost her job, lost the place she was living and needed a little help. Well my friend brought her here to stay for a few days until they could decide what to do. They ended up sending her back to Iran to be with her parents. She is 33.

Anyway, she had nooo money and she couldn't stay here for various reasons I won't get into now. I handed her $20 for pocket money. And another time she asked for some change so I gave her a few dollars more. Ok so $20 isn't a lot of money, but it is to me because I seldom have $20 in my pocket. I gave of my "last" because she was in need.......

OK.. my son hooked my stereo to the laptop so I could play my cds. well get this, the girl that was staying here "STOLD" my cds and case.. I had all my fav cds in this lil red case. Classical, country, soft music, even i silly clip I had of me singing, which is a hoot in itself. I had such a variety of music that was my fav to fit any mood I might be in. Even my christian music,.... I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo mad.........I could screammmmmmmmmmmmm....

The first time she left, she left behind some nice speakers, oo some other stuff for her computer and some other stuff. I packed it all up and gave it to her when she came back, because I wanted her to "HAVE" her personal belongings. I could have kept it and used it, but my heart said no, it isn't right.

This is the thanks I get for being nice. grrrr.. This isn't the first time this has happened. The folks that put in the new carpet stold my car stereo. I gave them lunch, had fruit out for them and juice or sodas for them. And they turn around and steal from me............ grrrrrrr

Same thing when I was a home owner. I'd always treat folks good, make them feel comfy. And they turn around and rob me blind.......

I'd think I'd would have learned by now. When you treat folks nice they think we are "stupid" and they go for the kill...... Doesn't pay to be nice. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I want my cds back... and she is in Iran now.. #@@@#$5%^$

Yeah, some people have used me as ..... because I was "nice".

Oh radio_flyer.....My heart goes out to you. I know it won't get your things back from these people, but I can certainly sympathize. It seems that we don't get much community help so we are disappointed by that and then, when we try to be helpful, we suffer for it. The best I could say is not to carry the hate and anger for too long. That is the mistake I made with my ex-husband 12 years ago. I still get upset about things he has done and I know he will do.

Please don't let the anger stay too long and try not to generalize that everybody is like that. I am certain there are good people like yourself out there. We just need to be more selective about who we are nice to and that hurts enough.

I hope your generosity brings rewards in some unexpected way. You never know when somebody helps you back or thanks you in some special way. Even if the praise for your generosity comes from yourself, that is usually the most important.

I had an encrusted diamond ring stolen by a kid that used to call me "grandma." He called me that because he thought I would let him use me like one... you know, the spoiling? HA! Maybe that's why he stole the ring.

hey was any of this stuff insured? just wondering...

You know I am soo angry and yet I feel like crying. It is just my music is special to me. And I don't even know exactly what I put in the case, other than they were my favs for when I am in a certain mood. I can't even say I know exactly the names of the cds, just I know the case was filled with my favs.

Just because I don't know exactly which cds were in the case does not mean anything. They were special. So they weren't valuable as in dollars sense. They were valuable to me..... and me is "important"... too Music is sooo important to me. It fits every mood, feeling or mode of living I might be feeling at the time. I don't even think it was the cds she wanted as much as the cute lil red cd case they were in. I think she prob tossed away the cds and just kept the stupid red case. For now on I will use ugly, torn, smelly cd cases. Then no body will even want to touch it...

I know .. prob sounds soo silly over such a small thing. But the small thing to others might just be something important to me...

I am so sorry that she stole your cd's and case. I can under
stand why you are so angry. I would be too. This was
like you said not worth the price, but it is the principle that
someone who you even gave money to you, stole from you.And the cd's were not replaceble.

AS for those other people that have stolen from you, everyone gets paid back for what they did wrong! I just
feel sad that people take advantage of you. You are a person that has a heart,moral values and very nice.
I think that people who have all of that, is very special in this
world we live in today. And you will be rewarded for all your
good deeds.

Just try to be careful, in trusting people. I only have a few
people that I can trust, it is a shame but that's the way it is.

grrrrrrrrrr I'm irked when I hear stories like this... it appears you have to wear bangs because you are a nice person, and others only read "sucker" on your forehead! grrrrrrrrrrrrr Ok, try and remember that you do what you do because it is the right thing, as a decent human, to do. Let God get them for their inconsideration.

I hope you get a nicer cd player...and even more CDs to play!

Music is very important too me to and I don't think it's silly at all to be upset.

Music has seen me through the good times and the bad and I would be lost and angry if someone took that away.

One of the beauties of today's technologies is that many of your favourite songs can be downloaded for free. I know that there are some songs that are more difficult to find, but you might be able to get most of the songs back from online downloading sites. I wish you all the luck.

RF...so sorry this happened to you. I had things stolen from a man with whom I was involved...the one who became stalker. This was a while ago, and I've let go of it and moved on for some time now, but it was a harsh lesson in trying to help someone and being kind!

I'm sorry about your music being stolen,I know how that feels.I had all my CD's stolen the day my Dad and I moved in to our new apartment in Utah when I moved up from California. Our new landlord still needed to do a little work inside,and the housekeeper that cleans the apartments when people move in still had the kitchen to clean. We had to go to my Moms for a couple hours,after we dropped off all our boxes,and furnature,all our stuff was inside of the apartment. And my CD case was just sitting next to my boxes in my bedroom. The landlord asked if we would just leave the door unlocked for the 2 hours we were gone,and he assured that he would be there the whole time so we didn't have to worry about our things,and he would leave the spare keys for the door in the kitchen drawer. Well, while we were gone he decided to take a 20 minute lunch,and left the door unlocked. It ended up that it was the housekeepers daughter that went in and stole my CD case, the whole case! About $6-700.00 worth of CD's from California! So I had irriplacable CD's in there just like your CD's, signed from local bands that hadn't made it big yet.One of the bands is popular now.And a demo CD from a friend that had Commited suicide right before I moved! So I never got them back,but I know how you feel about losing your prized posessions,and even one's that really mean a lot to you,that you can't replace. But I believe in Karma,and that what that girl did to you,will come back to her in one way or another. Just believe that you're a good person, and just because others have used and abused your kindness, don't let it change the way you are inside.Maybe just be more aware that there are many people out there that will jump on the opportunity to take advantage of good people like you.But continue to be that good person, because the Karma will come back on you as well. I'm sorry you had to go through that ordeal after all you gave to this friend in need!And the others that have taken from you! You have a good heart!
