Hi!
I'm losing my first to college and being a single parent makes that infinately hard. I want to be supportive, excited and motivational so he starts on the right foot but instead I keep swaying to the miserable, lonely, weepy and depressed. My son is a smart kid and I think he'll do great at university, he's excited but also scared - pretty normal. We have kind of been our own support team, when he's down I support him and vice versa. But the thought of not having him close enough to hug is just about killing me. Any advice on how to stem the water works? ![]() |

Believe or nat you will get use to it. My daughter started last year, I sent her with a cell phone she called me on her own at least 3xs a day. Its like when they first start school. You will cry , but it gets better. And to know they are out in the world doing for them selves , Be proud. ![]() Believe me he will call home and still need you. ![]() |

Thanks! I know he'll do great and I am extremely proud of him. He has a cell phone, plus email and I'm not sure who'll call more me or him. I guess it's just one of those things you go through with parenting.
Have a great day! ![]() |
