it is scary to me to know that these types of things happen in The United States. and i imagine that there are more that we'll never know about....

May Creator bless the town of Jena with a spirit of truth, tolerance and love. Please surround those students with the spiritual warriors and righteous workers they need to be set free. May the towns people be set free from their fears so that racism can be over come and peace can be realized.
I speak these prayers that the rage in me will be chanelled for good and not more evil. Free the Jena 6!!!! |

I haven't seen it personally, but when I was going through one of the horse museums at the Horse Park in Kentucky, one of the volunteers that is a retired school teacher from there was talking about how strong the KKK is in one of the counties close to there. It is scarry to realize this is in my new backyard.
Being a native Californian, things like that just aren't the norm there....yes, there is racism between all the different nationalities & gangs but it's not as blatently obvious as in the small towns that are still so backwards. It is sad to think that those kids are probably thinking that way because their parents are still thinking that way. I can't imagine people my age (54) who have learned to be so open to all kinds of other things like sex & drugs are still in the dark ages with their thinking about racism. When will is ever end?
