In June, my coworker moved to another part of the agency. I ended up taking over her work, plus my own and doing that on a less than part-time work schedule, as I am not here two days because of my internshp and I leave early two days that I am here b/c of school. According to the union rules you are supposed to get compensated if you do someone else's job that is out of your category, for over two weeks.

After months of fighting they finally got scared when a level 2 grievance was filed.... and they settled. Then four weeks passed and I saw no check. It was supposed to be a retroactive check from the day I started doing the other job. I was really angry because at this time of year I really could use that money.

Well today is my last day at work before the holiday. I won't be back until next Thursday. When I came back from lunch today and opened the door to my office, that check had been slipped under the door!!! Good things come to those who FIGHT!!! Good things come to those who FIGHT!!! Good things come to those who FIGHT!!! Good things come to those who FIGHT!!! Just in time!!!!
