I know this doesnt count...but i am Greek Orthodox and i know alot of people from Ohio because we used to all go to this camp called Camp Nazereth....people from all over who were in the camp that were Greek Orthodox...does any of that sound familiar? If it does we have something to talk about otherwise good luck in finding people in Ohio...

For the longest time after I moved here, I thought it was called "Puddin' Bay."

Love Put-n-Bay! The Jet Express or the slooow ferry are such fun and then we would rent bikes and ride around the island.

My son and I camped at East Harbor State Park in Port Clinton, near Sandusky. We camped so we'd be close to Cedar Point Amusement Park. We could ride coasters all day, close the park, then have only a short drive to camp. I loved those days!

I've ridden the "Jet Express" fast ferry over to Put-in-Bay several times. You can actually see that island and the coaster from Kelley's Island, where I like to camp and hunt for rocks on the quiet beaches.

Patty,

I always wanted to camp at Kelly's Island but never did.

There were always so many rocks to work around when putting up the tent at East Harbor! I imagined it was rockier and even harder on Kelly's Island.

I also enjoyed going to the lighthouse at Marblehead and Lion Counrty Safari when that was around. Mystery Hill was fun too!

I never did the winery tours but I know some who did and really liked doing that.

KD, Wayne county is a nice area. Lots of open space yet. I used to drive over an hour to take my son to the psychiatrist who treated him in the hospital. He was located in Smithville and I really enjoyed the ride there and back. Have you had dinner at The Barn?

Me too. ohio? Also, Rainy Days and Mondays in one of my fav Carpenter songs. ohio?

Echoes, no, I've never been to The Barn. Where is it? Sadly I haven't visited Wayne County, Huntington or Prichard Since my last grandparent died and they sold off the land. It hurts because most of my happy childhood memories were there. At the other grandparent's, my aunt has the home now and has completely remodeled to "modern". It's not the same. I would love to go back and visit, though. However, I'd have to be careful and ask for permission to walk the woods and mines because I wouldn't want someone to sneak up on this "city girl stranger". ohio?

Hey KD - I relocated to SW Ohio about 4 years ago. I haven't made any real friends (I don't think I know how). But since you are an administator I thought you would maybe know some support groups or something to join in the area. Thanks, Rainy

You're welcome, Rainy.

No, I don't know off the top of my head. However, I'm almost positive that most of the community mental health centers have a complete and updated list.

I'll check more. ohio?
