Ok, it's 8:30 AM. I woke up at 7:45, then the birds woke up and started going berzerk so I took care of them....then poked around on PC a bit.... now I am going to take a shower and start that paper.

I don't feel any better today. But it doesn't matter because the paper is what's important. People who want to get into doctoral school cannot sit around wallowing in depression and not doing schoolwork. Now I'm going to kick myself in the ***.

Okay, I'll do the same :-( only I don't care about doctoral school, I just care about finishing courses I start and these wholly on your own things get me every time. I haven't looked at my XML for 3-4 weeks.

I got all excited about a 9 month program with The Open University (UK) yesterday that is really expensive and realized if I were taking it it would get me motivated to finish the XML but I think I'll do the other way around. I have to get going on the XML or it's not likely I'll finish any expensive, 9 month course!

Hi pink. I hope you are able to accomplish your goals today. I have a view about "doctoral" students, in that, if they have to push beyond what they are truly capable at the time, they probably aren't ready yet. Do your best, pushing can make us stronger and at the least see where we are at, but don't feel totally worthless if right now isn't your time, ok? Ready.... set... go?

go pinksoil! if you havent been writing in the last hour tell us why not please! (trying to help you be accountable to someone - would that help?)
i totally empathise with the depression fog messing up concentration. took me two years to do my masters instead of one cos i just couldnt concentrate. if its genuinely too much you really need to get some help with it. its ok to take time out and do that. if you can keep going though then go for it! this thing is due in in two days. two more days and you re done with it. you can throw it away after that and breathe a big sigh of relief. just two days to go.
Ready.... set... go? Ready.... set... go? Ready.... set... go? Ready.... set... go? Ready.... set... go?

Well... I wasn't writing for the last hour because there was a horse in front of my house.

And I live in the city.

So that was interesting.

But I'll get back to writing now.
