Has anyone else experienced knowing events took place like once I read in the papers that Peter Gabriel died of a heart attack but when I mentioned it when we were out to dinner they said "I hope not I have tickets to his concert tomorrow." This has happened to me a few times over the years and I feel that some how I jump to alternate realities especially when things are not going good and feel I need to escape to a better time line.

This is not happened to me in years but lately weird things have happened like I was born with a reverse slope hearing loss and can not hear low frequencies like the refrigerating running or a care engine quietly running. I have had my MacBook for 5 years now and never new there was a fan that came on when it got warm because I could never hear it. Now I can hear it. Same with my flat iron. Never heard it working until recently. Same with my flat iron. I never heard it working before. I suppose I could chalk that up to them getting older and being noisier.

Ok I am done being weird now.

Looking for safety, protection, being cherished and loved can often be normal unmet needs in childhood, and the survivor searches for these in other adults. This can be where survivors search for mother and father figures. Transference issues in counseling can occur and this is normal for childhood abuse survivors.

This is actually a common occurrence labeled as the Mandela Effect. Many people swear they remember certain events from their past happening differently. A popular example and the event that gave this effect it's name is that some people remember Nelson Mandela actually dying while imprisoned instead of passing away in 2013.

Another popular example is the Berenstain Bears. A lot of people swear that they read the Berenstein Bears instead.

The list goes on...

Thank you! Exactly. I swear I always thought I slipped to a different reality/Dimension.

When you hear hoofbeats, think horse, not zebra.
The brain doesn't store recordings of events neatly in an archive like a computer. Each time you remember something, the memory changes.
I've noticed so many things I thought happened at a certain time in a certain order happened at a different time in a different order, or were very different from how I remembered them. It's just how the brain works. It's not perfect.

And many more (and better) articles that I can't find because I don't remember where I found them

This makes me think of the Trix cereal,
When I was little the cereal was fruit shaped.... Now it is shaped like little balls

I dream i. Different dimensions, in my dreams I wake up in a different dimension, but when I "wake up" i return to this present reality and I imagine the person who falls asleep in the alternate dimension is dreaming about my life
