Personally, I don't eat meat.

I used to have a pet chicken and one time I was playing with him and I could feel his breast meat, thigh, wing, etc. I was also eating chicken at that time and I realized right away that I was feeling guilty because I was eating chicken, while having a pet chicken. It felt like eating a baby.

That's not the reason why I became a vegetarian, but it's one of the reasons why I don't like chicken.

I also feel that animals shouldn't be killed for food. They have lives too.
Just because they are not as cute, (which is all a matter of opinion anyway) or because they are not as easy to domesticate as a cat or a dog, doesn't mean that they should be killed and eaten.

It always boggles my mind that a person would swear up and down that it's "wrong" to kill and eat dogs, and yet, they still eat fish, chicken, beef...? They say that "they're torturing the animals they eat!" Well, what exactly are farms doing to the food that they're killing now?
Thanks for this!

I agree with you completely. I hope to go vegan one day.

I recently just started eating meat again after being vegetarian for a while. (No eggs, yogurt or milk but I like cheese)
I never remembered to take my supplements so I got deficient in things. I know where my meat comes from, I watched all the documentaries. I do feel sadness that they lived a horrible life and died a horrible death and I appreciate their sacrifice. A lot of meat is still gross to me. But I eat certain types a few times a week and I am ok with myself.
