I had my first meeting today. I'm excited. I think this is really going to work for me. Having to weigh in every week will motivate me to stick with the plan.

My Mom keeps tempting me with food though. Right after I had some oatmeal my Mom persuaded me to eat some chinese radish with rice flour and pork dish. I didn't know the points value for it, but I estimate it was 7 points. It was pan fried. Now I only have 7 more points to eat and I still haven't drank any of my required milk today.

I need to resist my Mom better and plan my day. I only have 18 points to spend.

For dinner I plan on drinking two glasses of soy milk (4 points) and having some veggies.

Anyone else doing Weight Watcher's?

Congrats Greenleaves on joining Weight Watchers!!

A friend of mine and I were just talking about starting up with WW sometime soon.

It's so hard when folks try to tempt us away from what we know is good for us. It's like setting us up to fail. I hope you can find the strength to stand strong and let her know that you appreciate her efforts but that you need to help yourself right now. You go girl!!

I just joined Weight Watcher's!

I am on WW for the third time. I originally joined around 2001, lost about 25 pounds before I stopped going. A couple years passed, and I started again, having gained back all the weight. I went regularly until it started interfering with my work schedule. I started again last fall, and have lost 20 pounds. I plan to lose another 20.

WW is a good program. It makes you think about what you are eating. It is flexible enough to allow you to eat whatever you want, as long as you follow the points. The meetings are very motivating if you have a good leader.

Do not be discouraged if you don't lose weight right away. follow the program. Talk to your leader. Remember to exercise whenever you can. Also remember to drink plenty of water.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

Gary

Today was my first day on the plan, it went well. I just joined Weight Watcher's!

I only used one of my extra weekly points. I got all the water, fruits and veggies and milk that I needed. The only thing I lacked was the healthy oils. I'm going to buy some fish oil tomorrow and that will be my healthy oils.

I feel good right now.

We talked a bit yesterday, so you know I've been on the plan for a while. If you have any questions, you can send them my way. I'm no expert, but I will gladly share my experience thus far.

Thanks Airway

Today was my second WW's meeting. I lost 2.5 pounds! I stuck with the plan all week. That was the longest I've ever stuck with a plan.

This week my goal is to eat the required veggies and milk everyday.

I feel good about this.

Congrats on the weight loss. I understand the struggle to lose weight. I just got off a diet that lasted 22grueling months. It was a smashing success and now, I am just trying to maintain healthy eating habits and stay at my current weight. You sound very determined...you have my full support. Go for it!
