No new news, test results not in. She is feeling "chipper" this afternoon. My kids are dealing, slowly. Very sad. I am dealing, slowly, very sad. Parents seem to be holding up and time is everything. Tired.

So far tests have shown no additional growth of cancer in my young friend. Her lungs were questionable but the pulmonary specialist felt the streaks were related to RSC as an infant, and asthma.
She has a PET tomorrow. She was better yesterday, less pain, swallowing better, but today she is in pain and mom thinks she sees another growth forming in her throat. I wonder if she was feeling pretty goode because she had been getting percoset around the clock every four hours for pain management and then got out of the routine. Anyway, she is beading away and made my daughter a bracelet while we were there. Looked very tired. All in all news is good, wait and see and enjoy each precious moment. She was engrossed in beading as a way of protecting herself and taking care of herself. said she loved us. Was glad to have my baby hanging over her I think. That's the news for now. Keep her in your thoughts.

She is certainly mature far beyond her years. You are all lucky to have each other and appreciate one another. All of you are in my thoughts. Take care.

Okay, news is looking good. Some of this I don't understand so I will explain and you can decipher. The child with lymphoma was part of a study on immune suppresive drugs. The study ended because of what happened to her. There is some kind of connection with the donor kidney and the child both having Epstein Barr. All of the tests showed no additional points of growth. This part is very confusing but her goes... Because of where it is and what kind of cancer it is they are going to try antibiotics (heavy) for two weeks to see if that will shrink the growths. If not she will start standard cheomo. I thought I was intelligent but this is confusing though great news for now. It looks like she will get out eary to mid next week. Also, I found my daughter a therapist she is willing to see for a second time! She has a lot going on with an old molestation, OCD, budding sexuality she denies, and her best friend with cancer. It's good she agreed to try again! I am excited about that. So thanks for all the thoughts and prayers and special gestures. It sure is helping!

This is good to hear wise (((hugs))) I wanted to post some hopeful stuff when you first posted, but with this stupid med and knowing how raw feelings are we when first post... anyway I was actually able to stop myself (I figured you would just think I was minimalizing what you were going through.)

This is a lot of stress for YOU TOO so take a breather, do something special for yourself, ok? It's a long road.

I'm so glad she'll soon sleep in her own bed!! Yeeha for the comforts of home! And your daughter - two appointment with the same T! A new world record! Sure seems the time to break down and let herself need someone, huh?

Thank you for the update! emmy
