My pharmacist told me about 3[?] months ago my anti-dep was going to be supplied by a different manufacturer. Occurred to me a few minutes ago that I really haven't been doing well lately. Has this increase in depression+anxiety anything to do with the new med 'recipe'? I've mentioned in several posts about my recent increase in dreaming. Is that increase an indication the anti-dep is not doing it's usual job? Very strange to be having so many vivid dreams. EVERY night.
I am aware that diff. manufacturers can be using slightly different ingredients/methods etc. I will contact my pharmacy today if they're open. Something is def. awry. Maybe a combo of things. I do know that drugs supplied by diff makers can vary in efficacy so it makes sense to inquire. I HOPE it's all as simple as that.

I’d have thought this is possible. I’ve not had this happen with anti-depressants, but I have with other meds. I take omeprazole for reflux, and if I use anything other than one specific brand it makes the condition worse.

Definitely worth a chat to the pharmacist or doctor.

Definitely worth a chat with your pharmacist or Dr. I' personally have never had any problems with switching med manufacturers but I know people who have had significant problems when manufacturers change.

Hope it works out and you don't have to change meds ccompletely.

Asked for a possible change yesterday right before pharmacy closed. I don't need my doc to ok that thankfully. They didn't have my old brand [back-ordered still] but we're trying another generic. Looking forward.

It could very well be the manufacturer, I don't really know, but I'm pretty certain the contents list of the medications would be freely available on reputable websites, the manufacturers website, and maybe "meds watchdog" types of forums etc. Hope you'll be feeling better soon 🙏

Yeah, they claim it's all "the same active ingredient" but I do feel different manufacturers can have different effects. I'm not an anti-depressant person, but I've for sure had that experience with at least lorazepam and methylphenidate.

I have never felt the difference, but maybe I am simply not perceptive enough.

It was a huge difference in the lorazepams and methylphenidates for me, not even the same med almost. With the Ativans, one .5mg dose would knock me out, or I would be going for 3 mile walks after taking way too many pills from a different manufacturer. With the meths, after they switched I suddenly started getting the infamous stimulant crash as quickly as two hours after the dose.
