Most of you know that my family lost our house late last year. We have since moved into a smaller yet beautiful duplex.. My family has adjusted to the move really well. Until last night I was still having some really hard feelings about losing our house.Everyone always says that things happen for a reason even though we may never know the reason.
Well I am taking us losing our house, our home, as a blessing in disguise..I found out last night that our old house is full of BLACK MOLD
Had we been able to save our house from foreclosure, there is no way we could have afforded to have our house gutted and redone! This floored me! I had no idea that there was any in there at all! It wouldnt surprise me however, because under the house always flooded when it rained because the city refused to dig out the drainage ditches that ran along side the streets.. (When it rained our garage would fill up with water.. After many complaints to the city they finally dig the ditches up ... but not until after we moved out!)

So now that I know that losing our house turned out to be a blessing, I have a totally different persepctive! I feel better knowing my kids are not in a house that is a potental helath hazard!!!!!

((((((((((( mrb & family )))))))))))))

I'm a huge believer that things happen for a reason...no matter how bad it may seem in the moment...there can always be a positive that comes from a negative. It's been proven to me time and time again.

I know it doesn't mean that we don't grieve through the difficult time, but if we can keep in the back of our minds that something positive will come from the happening....it does i just found out something that makes me feel better

So glad that you and your family are much safer than living in that home with the mold.....YAY!!

i just found out something that makes me feel better

Mel, I am so glad your family is safe. I am often agonizing over what we are losing or have lost and I learned from you to remember what we have. Thank you.

Sabby, you are absolutely right! More positives have come out of us losing our house than negatives!!!!! Yes it hurt bad to lose a house we had lived in for 7 years, but I look at my kids now and I see them happier than they have been in a long time! My hubby is a different person..so sweet caring and willing to help.

I believe we as a family needed it!
