Why is it that the minute a guy sees the real you they run for the hills?
I put up an ad on craigslist the other day and got a few hits and when I sent the guy a pic of me all of a sudden the emails stopped. Am I that hideous of a creature? I didn't think so. But I guess I am. I was having a crappy day and this just adds to it. I am going to be honest now and say I have bad thoughts running through my head and I am now going to take my night time meds and go to bed. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day. Jbug

Our looks are part of us. I wouldn't want someone who was prejudiced to get any further! Someone who wants someone younger, blonder, more "perfect", whatever, I don't want to deal with them; especially don't want it to go far enough so I meet them and THEN they drop me?

Thanks for the responses guys. I am still frustrated and am still not thinking real clearly but I am still trying to keep myself safe. I have talked to a couple of friends and that has helped some.

I agree, craigslist is a dangerous pond to go fishing in.
Try more traditional dating sites but even then, be careful. And any guy who would run for the hills based off a pic isn't worth your time. Cyran0

buggie hon that guy is not worth it. trust me. I have been there too. even an ex hubby of mine told me one time a few yrs ago that if I lost weight we could get back together. I laughed at him. he is so vain and so into looks and for me looks is not what is important. it is what is on the inside. you are a beautiful woman. you don't need places like craig's list.

I just emailed craigslist to take my ad down. I did get an email from one guy eventually unfortuantely the guy is 52. No offense to all the 52 year old guys out there but I'm 36 not interested and his religous beliefs are to different than mine.
I talked to my therapist about it and I'm about to send her an email about some more thoughts I am having regarding the matter. I'm not sure how to process the feelings I am having and need help directing my thoughts. Jbug
